Wagner Jewelers

About

Wagner Jewelers opened in 1981 by brothers Doug and Jeff Wagner. Full service jeweler - Jewelry and Watch Repair, On-site Goldsmiths, Custom Designs.

Story

Since 1981, Doug Wagner and his brother, Jeff, have built Wagner Jewelers in Marysville into one of the Pacific Northwest's most successful family owned neighborhood jewelry stores. Despite expanding competition, Wagner Jewelers continues to thrive as something of an anachronism - a neighborhood jeweler, a very popular neighborhood jeweler. We've been here since 1981, growing from a small jewelry store to become a full-service jeweler.

We have our own selection of hand-picked items you wont find in other chain stores. Our staff includes two full time goldsmiths, with over 60 years experience, in the store to help design and create personalized jewelry

Cliche or not, personal service is the distinctive element that has made Wagner Jewelers both popular and successful. Community involvement has been another factor in their success. For the past 7 years, they have contributed to the Marysville Food Bank collecting over 2,000lbs of canned food at our annual Anniversary Sale in November. We also participate in the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club awarding players with the "Gem Of The Month" customized medallions.

Both Doug and Jeff grew up with their brother Greg on their parents' family farm in Harrington, 50 miles southwest of Spokane. Greg stayed at the farm while Doug headed to the University of Washington, graduated from Eastern Washington University and headed to Los Angeles. He found work with Zales Jewelry stores and then worked his way north, in one jewelry store after another. Meanwhile, Jeff attended Gonzaga University in Spokane then followed Doug's suggestion to try Fred Meyers jewelry departments in the Portland area. In 1981, Doug called Jeff to say there was an opportunity to open a jewelry store in the Kmart shopping center being built in Marysville and there was no other jeweler in town. Today, we are still here, but there are fewer other stores like ours - family owned, providing personal service and involved in their community. Very much aware of the rarity of our breed in today's marketplace, our motto continues to be "If you don't know your Jewelry, know your Jeweler"
