A needed addition to the area for lunch. Try the romaine salad. The salt roasted beets are fantastic. The pork belly sandwich is simply decadent; it's a "you might need a nap afterwards" good. They also have a phenomenal burger. Happy hour specials include $5 cocktails. Have time for breakfast? Get the breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg and cheese). You won't leave hungry. Clean bathrooms! Good acoustics after the lunch crowd rolls through. Business guests would like it here. Wonderful staff.

I recently moved to the AKA building above the restaurant and have made Walnut Street Cafe my go-to place for everything. It is a perfect restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At the helm of Chef Daniel Eddy, It is doing casually refined food few other restaurants in Philly can match. Also, the pastries by chef Melissa Weller are noted for being some of the best in the country! It is one of the most beautiful spaces in the city to dine. Every time I have visitors, I make sure to come down to the Cafe and it never disappoints. The management is always accommodating and they treat me like family. I could not ask for a better restaurant to have near my new home.

This is one of the very best restaurants in Philadelphia. The space itself is beautiful, unlike many of the recent restaurant build outs in the city. The designer was well selected, the music is coolly curated, and the vibe is forward thinking. The pastries are famous for good reason and the food is great. It is very difficult to find Biodynamic or Natural wine in Philadelphia, I would guess only a handful of restaurants even carry any on their menus, but WSC has one of the most extensive and impressive wine lists I have seen in the city. There have been many write ups recently about the booming restaurant scene in Philadelphia and not only do I believe this has been one of the best additions in recent years, but I think this should serve as an example of what new restaurants in the city should emulate- a designer-driven restaurant that's not afraid to be different.

This place is way overpriced. It is good but 16 dollar for a one piece of bread french toast is a scam. It’s just sad that you pay for a great ambiance and a pretty place instead of good food.

More expensive brunch than a diner but worth it! Very good portions and delicious food. Excellent, professional and attentive servers and an upscale ambiance. They check your coats at the door for you and get the food out quickly. A great experience!
