I had heard a lot about this place before I ever went there. To be honest it was a bit overrated. The food was good, but on par for diner food. I recommended as a place to have breakfast. It's casual but not too casual the prices are reasonable. Good menu options and a reasonably clean restaurant. I would not recommend it as a place to take a date.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. My service has always been great! My food, has always been breakfast and it has always been some of the best if not thee best breakfast food I’ve had at a restaurant. The weekend mornings are crazy busy. Maybe some people’s service was not to their par due to the fact that it is so busy. Even mine was slow every so often on a weekend morning. Not always though. The waitresses work hard for you and the cooks work just as hard. My go to dish... corned beef hash because it is homemade and not from a can. Oh and so is their Orange Juice. I only wish Black Bear Diner was also in the Midwest (I work a lot in West Valley City, but home is in Minnesota). Cheers!

An all around decent American diner. Prices are perhaps a little bit higher than other diners of this type in the area, but I think it's because on most dishes the serving portions are HUGE. I'm never able to eat more than 1/2 to 2/3 of my meal & I take the leftovers home for later. It's like getting a nearly free second meal out of every visit, with the bonus of no effort in preparation. Their fresh biscuits are very large & are excellent. I've always enjoyed their breakfasts, the burgers are average (but I'm also picky about burgers), I've only had one dinner entrée there so far but it was good. I've heard a few people who have told me their food there wasn't cooked well. I can't comment on that, it hasn't happened to us. Maybe they have a part-time cook whom I haven't encountered yet who isn't up to the standards of their regular cooks. I don't know. On the meals I've tried there, everything appeared to be cooked from scratch, not reheated frozen foods like is becoming so common at many restaurants these days. I like it; it's real food, not mass-produced.

The food is good and the service is fast, the only deal.breaker for me was that it seemed that we wee not treated equal, meaning that my food was brought to my table late and it was not as hot as when it was done, and the server was just coming back when I called her about 3 times. Definitely some kind of unwelcome environment. I wouldn't try this place on my own again, but will definitely leave the option open

The service was horrible. The food was not good and it was very highly priced. I would not recommend this place.
