I do not recommend this place to live. This place is infected with rats, and the staff just ignore the requests to eliminate this.

Bad. While Nicole was nice and friendly, dealing with the other staff has been horrendous. I called several times to find out the status of application and was put off repeatedly. Finally, I believe they blocked my number. I had to call corporate to complain and finally get through. I was not able to accept the apartment that was offered to me. I paid a refundable deposit that was supposed to be returned to me in 15 days. It's been over 20. Shanay told me Friday she would have a manager call me Monday because both the manager and assistant manager were out. Monday no call. Tuesday I called again and left a message. No return call. Wednesday left a voice mail message. No call. Today, Thursday, asked to speak with Nicole. I was told she is not in. I could not understand the name of the person who answered the phone. But, she said she would give Erin my message and have her return my call. This is no way to run a business.

I am not giving this community any stars because THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT. This community is a total WRECK! Infested with mice and bugs. But this is not why I am writing this review. This incident is the epitome of how you should not treat your residents and customers. I had to take my wife for a Doctor's appointment today but when we stepped out of the house we found out that our cars (two cars)were TOWED! Yes towed from the parking complex that we are residents of for the past 3 years. We had active parking passes displayed on the cars but they did not care about it. I rushed to the rental office furious and explained them the situation. I was told that a notice was sent out that the residents should collect their new parking passes. I told the associates that we did not receive the letters and were told instead by Sarita that this is the first time I am hearing anyone say that they did not receive the letter and that it is our fault. She also showed me the letter which was sent out on December 3rd. Fortunately, we keep records of all the letters that Westchester West sends us. I went back to my apartment and looked for the letters sent by the management. I found a letter dated December 3rd from management stating my end of lease commitments but that did not have anything stating the change of parking passes. I took the letter back to rental office and explained to Sarita that if I received a letter from the management on dec 3 how is it possible that I Missed the second letter. She couldn't understand the point. I also stopped in the rental office between dec 3rd - dec 29th twice for various lease related queries and would have got my NEW Parking passes had I known I had to have them changed. The second associate in the meantime jumped into the situation and told me and my wife that it is our fault and nothing can be done. They were rude and extremely unhelpful to say the least. I was also told I was lying. At this point my wife and I adamantly stated that Home Properties pledges to "Commitment to Service" and she responded with it is my opinion and she thinks otherwise. I asked her if she has the list of all the residents who did not get their passes exchanged and she told me that how can they keep a track. I was appalled and asked her why they did not call us or email us if we had missed the letter. She SHRUGGED! At the towing office, we were told that we were not the only ones who had their cars towed from Westchester West apartments. He told us that atleast 50 residents out of current 324 units stated that they did not receive the letters but still had their cars towed without any notification or warnings. This place and management company is a sham and they will do anything that they could to squeeze every pretty penny out of you. In all I paid $300 to get my cars out.
