Story

At World Class Auto, we specialize in taking care of our neighbors, one car at a time. Owner Rod Martin trains all of his employees to meet his high standards of honest and ethical work.

Owner Rod and his staff carry that education beyond preventative services, too, and strive to make sure that every customer makes an informed decision about their car's repairs.

We also back up all of our ASE-certified repairs with a 24 month/24,000 mile warranty on parts and labor so that you can be assured that we stand behind every job we perform. In addition to our warranty on parts and labor, we also offer free roadside assistance for 4 months/4,000 miles following every oil change we perform.

.25 star if I could. What a terrible experience. One for the record books. My friend called me and said her car was broken down on the freeway and asked if could give her a tow. I drove to her and she asked if I would take her to this place as it was close and well-reviewed. We drove in, and we were met in the parking lot but a very nice employee, which was awesome. We were told where too put the car, and we did. My friend walked inside, dropped off her keys and she was told they would look at it the following day. I let my friend borrow one of my cars to get around. At 4 PM, just before they close my friend decided since she hadn't heard from them, she would call and check in on her car. She was greeted with. "You know, you don't have to call me. I will contact you when I have had a chance too look at your vehicle so don't call again." Understandably upset, she asked if she could continue to use my car, while she waited for an unknown amount of time. The next day she found out her vehicle was done and asked if I could give her a ride to pick up her truck. I drove her too the shops and walked in with her. She said hello, to the guy behind the counter, and said she was here to pick up her vehicle. The gentleman didn't even so much as make eye contact and didn't acknowledge her at all. Didn't say hello back or anything. He simply ignored her, or what it seemed was ignoring her until he grabbed some paperwork almost 3 minutes later and handed it too her. The bill was for 1,100 dollars for a fuel pump and spark plugs. Which is asinine for one. Second the only time the employee even spoke with either of us when it came time to talk about the bill. I wouldn't go here again if my car broke down in their parking lot after this. I would rather pay a tow company to come get it and almost take it anywhere else. Hell, I'd rather go to jiffy lube. They suck too, but at least they are friendly. DONT GO HERE. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, MONEY AND TROUBLE AND GO SOMEWHERE, ANYWHERE ELSE.

If you want your car to last, take it to World Class Auto! They always check out everything and give you a heads up for what things will need to be addressed in the near future. I love being able to know how much time I have left on my brakes, Etc. Cars wear out, but if you maintain them right they last for a long time. We just replaced our 2 after many years close to 200,000 miles each,and they were still running strong because we have World Class Auto.

This was a BAD experience for me. I had an issue with my car starting due to corrosion in the battery cable and a bad alternator. My car died in Alpine so I couldn't afford to tow it to my regular mechanic in SLC. The Tow truck drive suggested World Class Auto because they could have it done the next day. I appreciated the suggestion and called ahead. They said they could look at it in the morning and have it on the road the next day. They didn't get back to me for three days and when they got back to me they charged me $300 for a replaced cable and battery cleaning with no mention of the alternator. I picked up the car and told them all the dash indicators were on and there reply was impatient and condescending. They told me I only asked to have the car started and I refused the other services. When I asked what services I refused they showed me their service chart that said I turned down new windshield wipers, a new battery (I had replaced the battery a day before), and coolant flush. NEITHER of which would affect the car starting. The alternator was only charging at 11 volts causing the car to die on the way to my home in Salt Lake. I was able to get it to Harrison Mobile Auto Repair in Salt Lake. The mechanic Mike is a terrific mechanic and works really well with customers. He was able to replace my alternator in a few hours with a reasonable price. He also mentioned I was charged about double by World Class Auto. The reason I'm writing this review is because I have received automated texts and emails about filling out a review. I sent them a private review telling them of my bad experience and the automated emails kept coming. They didn't seem to care how their service was at the time my vehicle was in the care.

We've been going to World Class Auto for about 10 years now. We went there after a bad experience with another local auto repair shop. We love the fact they can trouble shoot the problem and give you a exact price for the repair.We also love the 24 month guarantee on parts and labor! We have seldom used it but it's nice to know they stand by their work! Rod and his staff have gone out of their way to take care of us many times.We appreciate their honestly and friendly service! THANKS WORLD CLASS AUTO !!!

I just found out the service writer and the technician who were responsible for all of this were cleared out. Great and I hope they learn their lesson. I will try again, this time something simpler. - I'm not your average guy. I've spent years appraising, buying, & selling vehicles. In the last 20 years I've counted more than 25 vehicles between me and my wife. This vehicle is an 02 Toyota Seqouia. Great truck. Had an overheating problem due to the thermostat, I thought. Nope, simple replacement and then the radiator cracked. OK, another simple replacement. Then still overheating. Sent it here to check the water pump or for blockage in the system. I was told it was the water pump and I agreed to have it replaced along with the timing belt and pulleys as they're already in there. Fine. Still had an overheating problem and was told it had a confirmed blown head gasket. I asked for the printout of the report. None was provided. I refused the $3900 head gasket charge and took it home the .3 miles. Had it towed to the local Lexus dealer. $123 later and almost 2 gallons of coolant added into the system as this place let me go without a full radiator I was on the road again. Drove it right to this shop, left it running in their parking lot, and left it with a copy of all the notes from the Lexus dealer so they could run another test on the head gasket. 15 minutes later i got a call that it was NOT the head gasket and I was asked how I wanted to have this resolved. 7 ppm was all, if you know head gaskets. Nowhere even close to an issue. They did make it right monetarily, but if that tech and shop foreman, whoever it was responsible for this is still there with a job, I'd be surprised. And if so, I'd never return. So 1 additional star over dismal for me spending way more than I should have, but the second because they made things right by me.
