UPDATE: 
Since the original review, they are doing their best to resolve the situation. They have replaced another coil and charged only for the part. It appears that the car is still having issues, but, for now, they are working with me to resolve the issue. I was wrong to blame all these car problems on them without even telling them the car still had issues. 

I will update this review one more time when everything is done.

OLD REVIEW:
I took my car in to fix the check engine light. The diagnosis was ignition misfire. They claim that they replaced an ignition coil and all spark plugs and charged me over $500 to do it. After the "service" nothing changed. I went elsewhere to get it fixed. after a few months of working with other mechanics about other problems that were caused by this problem not being fixed, it appears none of those parts were actually replaced...

We love Jake’s! They have been so great to work with. We have been in for service and a few repairs over the years, but each time we’re treated like we’re their most-valued customers. They are always busy, but always find time to take care of our vehicles. Jake is great and really cares about taking care of his customers. We recommended Jake’s to everyone, and will always come here!

Very happy with Jake’s. It’s really difficult to find a trustworthy mechanic that is well-priced, but Jake’s is the place. I’ve been in here with more car issues than I’d like, but since I’ve been coming here, they’ve fixed everything in a timely manner. Great service and easy appointments. Jakes, Troy, and Kelly are great to work with and do excellent work. If you’re looking for someone who will treat you right, go to Jake’s.

My mother brought her 1998 Honda v6 in to have an oil leak fixed and an 02 sensor replaced. After 3 days she called to find out when she could have her car back, and Troy told my mother that the timing belt needed to be replaced. My mother, needing her vehicle to run, gave Troy permission to fix it. This was an $800 job. Here is where the problem lies. The timing belt was just changed 15000 miles ago when I bought the car for my mom. My mother felt bad about bothering me with any issues involving the vehicle because of how short of time from the purchase it was. She trusted a, “certified mechanic”, to fix her vehicle and not take her for a ride. It’s partly my fault for not paying more attention to my mother, but how can Troy sleep at night knowing he fabricated a make believe problem to bleed $800 dollars from an elderly woman on a fixed budget. Shame on you Troy and shame on Jake’s Automotive in PG. The 02 sensor was not replaced and it still leaks oil

Busy so takes a bit longer but honest and less expensive than the dealer. Friendly, knowledgeable mechanic. A friend suggested Jake's and we have been very pleased!
