Having only giving 3 stars, the ONLY downfall is the changing area and showers; but. The staff at upper James are phenomenal. I had an issue and the manager stepped up to help me out. What a wonderful woman Totally understood the problem and helped rectify it immediately. Thank you. Dave Taylor.

Cheap price, cheap gym. Not enough weights, constantly stuck waiting. Locker rooms are always dirty and the locks on bathroom doors are broken. Much happier at a new gym. Wouldn't go back here if the membership was free.

I've never had a problem with this gym. It gets super busy at night but I don't generally go in the evenings. I've never had an issue with broken machines and staff has always been friendly.

The prices for their memberships are pretty great, but their customer service could be way better. Every time I have gone to this location or called in they are not very friendly. No real passion or interest in the people they are serving.

This gym has everything I require, including a low monthly cost, showers, decent equipment, and long hours. HOWEVER, I was very disappointed when I was told that I had to meet with a trainer, and that the session was "mandatory, and for insurance reasons." Apart from taking my blood pressure, there was absolutely nothing during the hour long meeting that wasn't a sales pitch to sign up for a personal trainer. I was pretty sure this was going to be the case when I went in, but I went anyway (to keep my membership.) When the trainer pointed to "where I should be at," in my body fat percentage, I laughed out loud. I'm a relatively healthy woman, in my mid thirties, and I was able to see how ridiculous the images on this chart were, but keep in mind it was absolutely irresponsible, and damaging to show this to someone who doesn't know how idiotic the trainers actions were! Take a quick look at the chart -- that picture of a beautiful, Victoria's Secret-esque model in the middle, ya, she has too much body fat, according World Gym, What a pig!
