Casino is super fun. Liked it a lot. The restaurant however is just bad. I didn't stay in the hotel. Casino 5 stars.  Restaurant 2 because staff is great.

The Wyndham Garden Carson City Max Casino located on Carson Street is an new face on a very old place. Comfortability meets luxury. Yet rooms remain at affordable rates. Maintaining exceptional all around guest services from the rooms, the gaming areas to the new Black Bear diner. An impressive upkeep to the long time respected reputation of the old Carson Station now the Wyndham Garden Carson City Max Casino is where I go when I am looking for consistency & dependability I came acustom to growing up eating and staying there and now playing there.

Pros: hotel staff and service was amazing, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great.

Cons: hotel was old, I could hear my neighboring room guest speaking on the phone at a regular voice level in my room, the walls were paper thin! My shower didnt drain and the water backed up around my feet. The elevators were slow, and one was broken down which made it painfully long to get down stairs.

I dont know that I will be back, and if so it will be for the service and bed.

Black bear cafes are the same everywhete, they have a standard of quality and service that is well met here. The casino personal are freindly.

I have only seen my room on the fourth floor so bear that in mind. Pros: The staff are awesome. Friendly, smiling, courteous and professional. From security to the front desk, everyone has been awesome. The room sports nice enough appointments with a modern tv, cable and wifi, all of which were easy to use. Well drinks at the bar were inexpensive and potent with fairly good quality liquor. I think they may be cheaper if you're gambling. Food quality was pretty good and the waitstaff were quick and attentive. Cons: One wall in the bathroom looks mildewed, which makes sense because the exhaust fan does nothing at all. Even a short shower fogs the room so heavily that it rolls out under the door. Food, while decent enough, was very expensive. I don't care where the OJ came from, six bucks per small glass is insane, people. WiFi was spotty but fast enough. It kept dropping large downloads (260mb) and I think the service may be configured to do that. If it is, that's unfortunate because they'd save a lot of bandwidth to just let me finish downloading the update and get it over with (260mb) as opposed to cutting me off at 120mb repeatedly which results in 600mb of wasted bandwidth and me still trying to update LibreOffice. meh. The air conditioner in my room is so occasionally loud that I had to shut it off to get any sleep.
