Sadly Disappointing Marriott - You let me down. After a horrible experience at the hotel I was at in Reno I called Marriott customer service to find a room I could get into to finally get some sleep and a shower. Nothing in the Reno area was available so I drove to Carson City after getting a reservation there. Knowing, that I could always depend on Marriott to provide a quality stay. I checked into the room and it hadn't even been cleaned. There were towels everywhere and nothing to shower with. I was so exhausted from the last few days and drama at the previous hotel I was at I just didn't want to deal with trying to move to another room. At least I got sleep, lord knows if the bed was as dirty as everything else. $200? I could have just slept in my car. Date of stay 6-18, checked out this am.

Room was nice, bathroom had a seat in the shower to relax. Bed was very comfortable, TV was positioned weird but not too bad. Very convenient to have outlets on the lights on either side of the bed. Not cool to have every single light on a different switch. Only problem was when I went to reserve the room and place a credit card on the account, it was difficult getting in touch with them, and then the person was rude when I gave them my card number. Otherwise a great stay, very clean and comfortable.

This is a clean property with a staff sometimes trying to be friendly. The rooms are clean and somewhat updated. The property is within walking distance of many food choices including the Bell, Mickey D's and Mexican food, oh, can't forget the hop and the Garden. There is a Hertz rental car within walking distance as of this date.  You can try your luck at the casino next door or watch a movie at the cinema behind.  There's an indoor pool and spa.

Just a few negative/positive coments.  I have stayed at this property 3 times now, each 4-5 day stays.  The first two were without concerns, however, the third stay I make the following notes.  The rooms do have a mini-bar and you must ask for a microwave.  My last request for a microwave was not fulfilled. I was told the extended stay guests had them all.  Next, for those of us with back or hip problems I did find the mattress seemed w a y past due for a new one rm. 231, the potholes were very uncomfy. Lastly, the indoor pool area A/C must have been malfunctioning as it was way to hot and humid at 10 am to use.  Hopefully these concerns  are a onetime occurrence.  Loved the shower head. Based on my two previous stays I would recommend this property for Extended Stay.

It's in the details.  The rooms and facility are kept clean and inviting, but for a problem with housekeeping, I'd have given them a great rating.  We had to request incidentals several times during our visit, and when housekeeping finally provided shampoo and soap, it was less than sufficient, not once, but every time.  I finally acquired what we needed at the local store since the hotel seemed to be having a problem being consistent.   Yes,  I explained the situation to the front desk, but it seemed to have little affect.  At these rates, I expect more.  I expect at least the bare minimum. Too bad.

Great place! Rooms are spacious and modern. Enjoyed the bar in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Carson city.
