I am really in quite a dilemma writing this review. Our first impression was: Really good. Nice, not too small clean rooms, good bed, a/c not too loud. Clean bathroom, nice check-in. 
But then, in the middle of our second night around 1 am: loud rattling at the room door. When I spied through the door, someone was pretty startled to see the room was not empty. Front desk had assigned the room to someone else. Then a couple of phone calls with following up right after. First the lady from the front desk, then the manager insisted that we had done an early check-out (which we absolutely did not), then the manager blamed his colleagues and "the system" for errors, discussion ensued. Not word of apology that night for having made a mistake. I could not find sleep for almost an hour after the discussion, which really ruined my and my significant other's night and the following day. 
When we did the actual check-out on the morning after, the manager finally at least dropped a short "sorry" after me hinting to that... I have been thinking about my review now for a few days, but there it is. Thanks for reading this 😉

Newly refurbished room.  The A/C was off when we entered it so it was hot hot hot... This is why a drop in Star rating.  It took hours before the ac unit could cool the room to a comfortable temperature. We had a reservation a few days in advance.  I would think they would try to prep the room a little in advance.  Especially on 90 F degree plus days.  Otherwise,  was comfortable.

very friendly staff, rooms are clean, house keeping does a great job. Breakfast is basic but adequate. Beds are soft pillows comfortable linens clean.

I had an unfortunate, but rare, problem.  This motel has a fairly advanced solid state key system, which I assumed would be more reliable than magnetic cards.   Unfortunately, after already leaving my stuff inside, the door wouldn't open.   After heading to the office, the man behind the desk ( who I think was also the owner) wasn't able to open it either, even with master keys.  They ended up needing to bring in a locksmith to break into the room.     While this was a very irritating problem, I will give them credit for handling it very well.   I'm certain that he spent quite a bit( maybe more than I paid to stay) to bring a locksmith in after hours. Also, judging by the phone call that I overheard, it is not common. 

Beyond that, the room was well appointed and quiet.   I would have absolutely no qualms about staying here again.

WAY over priced hotel, for extremely LOW-quality service and room! Everything was either broken, falling apart or out of service. Not even the one ice machine was working. When stepping into the shower you felt like you were going to fall through. It creaked and cracked with every move. In the morning, you could hear the room next door and it sounded like they were having the same experience.  Do not plan on sleeping in, you can hear the rooms next door to everything going on outside! Loud! There is no room to sit down and eat the continentally breakfast which you could not pay me to eat. But to top it off in the middle of the night the air conditioner started to burn. A startling experience to wake up to! We turned it off immediately.  Spending the rest of the night concerned and uncomfortable!! When explaining the situation to the front desk manager all she could say was I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Really?! That’s all she could or would offer.  The air conditioner could have caught on fire and all she could say was sorry. So many other reasons why this is a terrible hotel. Warning! Do Not stay at this hotel!!
