This place is also called Bernadins, it’s a great fine dining restaurant in Winston. It has a staff that is very knowledgeable about their cuisine and wine. They have a lot of items on their menu from outside the US and it’s always a great experience when you go. Especially when it’s warmer outside when you can seat outside.

Fine dining in a small, intimate setting. The food is always excellent and the service is top notch. They accept reservations which is always a plus. They have an excellent selection of cocktails and an extensive wine list. This restaurant has an eclectic selecting of foods that will appeal to diners tired of the same foods appearing on other restaurants' menus. They also have a myriad of mainstay items to order--such that people who prefer the old standby options will be pleased with their diverse options as well. Parking is limited in their lot, but there is plenty of parking on the road and sideroads adjacent. Overall this is an excellent choice for fine dining in Winston-Salem.

Bernardin's squeaks out a 3 star because if the atmosphere, manager, and Chilean Sea Bass. The Zeverly House is neat and a fun experience. That being said, a one time experience is exactly what it will be for us. Overall the expense ($14 for 3 scallops), waitstaff (they were nice but not near attentive enough), and bathrooms in the basement that did not have a clean feeling. Overall... pros neat relaxed environment, we were never rushed (which is also a con because our glasses were empty more than 3 times), we were not crowded, quiet enough to talk using normal volumes, Sea Bass was great. Cons we were on the top floor and bathrooms were in basement, slick floors (it was a damp day and my wife was wearing heels), staff not attentive enough, bathrooms did not feel clean, menu online was not offered (entree I wanted was not available), over $100 for 2 people for 1 appetizer, 2 waters, 2 entrees and tip is overpriced for a return visit.

Nice service. Food but good but not outstanding. I had the emu. Overcooked and dry. Since i was with a large group i did not wish to complain. My companions thought their food was good. The place was busy and too noisy. They place a tip on the bill with separate checks. Not a nice touch.

This place is amazing!! The food and the service is professional. Fancy and elegant place to have a dinner with that special person. Highly recommended. Not with kids though.
