I have been a long time resident and year after year the community continues to grow in a positive manner. The apartments are very nice and cozy!

I never write reviews and this is how important I feel that I share my horrible experience with these apartments.  The apartment that I was shown before move in looked nothing like the apartment that I rented.  The floors, walls, and ceiling were heavily damaged upon move in. There was even water damage on the ceiling and it was obvious that had been painted over instead of fixed as well as, excessive amounts plaster on the wall with no real effort to conceal. Walls were paper thin and I heard everything my neighbor was doing.   I had no where else to move, so I had no choice but to just complete my 14 month lease time and it couldn't come fast enough.  I was smart and took a picture of all of the damages done to the house upon move in day because Abbington West End tried charging me for damages that were already there!!! This took multiple calls and months to get this straightened out. The conversation I had went paraphrased, "we charge you for all of the damages to the house right off and don't look at what you put down was already there on move in date." What?? Even afterwards, I paid hundreds of dollars worth of damages I didn't even do...better than the almost $1k bill they originally sent me.  
There is new staff every couple  months, which doesn't surprise me.  No one really knew what they were doing.  People were getting their cars damaged by people spray painting on them, including a motorcycle  my roommate owned while renting there.  We even caught someone on a security camera we had set up and Abbington West End staff acted "shocked" stating "this kind of stuff never happens." Neighbors, clarified that is a lie.
Last but NOT least, I explained my concern of having animals on what sprays they use to make sure there were no bugs.  They stated they had special "animal" safe insect spray and will notify the company we had a cat as well.  I came home to poison traps being all over my floor with my cat playing with them.  These are highly poisonous to animals and I was LIVID.  Thank goodness I caught it before my cat ingested.   I notified them of this issue and no action was taken and more poisonous traps were laid randomly throughout my stay.

This property is extremely negligent. The first day I moved in, the bathroom was falling apart, the walls were terribly painted and the dishwasher was broken. I rented a all carpeted place. The first morning I woke up with a ton of bug bites all over my body. The apartment was infested with bed bugs (full grown and larvae growing in the carpet) and roaches. After letting the leasing office know, if seemed like they didn't care for my well being and they didn't do anything about it besides suggesting a terminator. I moved out three days after moving in. Don't move here. I recommended their sister company Kings Crossing. I have been here for 8 months and love it so far.

I have proudly called Abbington home for 3 years. Not only is it a short drive to work, but it is a place that makes me feel safe with a staff that goes above and beyond to provide a great experience. Two times I have had maintenance calls, and both times the gentlemen arrived on time and did a fantastic job. Furthermore, the front office has always been welcoming and even provides coffee in the morning. I am happy to live here and look forward to another great year

I love Abbington West End Apartments because of it's on time services, cleaner apartment than any other  apartments in Henrico and totally I can say it's the BEST.
