I came in to view some of the used inventory, maybe take a couple test drives. I was looking at a couple of really junky cars, with appropriately cheap price tags. A perfectly helpful salesperson gave us a plate, multiple sets of keys for freedom to test drive a few cars at our leisure. One of the cars we wanted to test drive, one that really stuck out at me as a good choice for me, had a flat tire. Now, I know I was looking at extremely budget-friendly cars, but I would kind of expect that any car available for purchase should also be able to be driven.

Which brings me to the second car we drove. It was clean, well-used, and cheaply priced. We started it up and took it literally less than a mile; it ran out of fuel while at speed on Hill Rd just east of the railroad tracks. Now, I noticed that the fuel was low when I started it up, but I had incorrectly assumed that there would be at least bare minimum 5 miles worth of gas in it in any scenario. Really, I'd expect any used car available for sale and test drives should have at least an eighth tank, if not a quarter.

At this point, I was not even considering writing a review online; Maybe it would have been a 4 star experience to me at this point. I had previously bought a used vehicle from Al Serra with no issues; I expected that Al Serra and its employees typically provided top notch customer service, especially in a time of crisis (at least by dealer standards). They now have a customer stranded in one of their vehicles down the road; that customer cannot look at their vast inventory, let alone buy any vehicles. You'd think that they'd want to make your customer service experience at this point to be even more perfect and accommodating and apologetic. I expected that  the salesperson or one of their associates would swing by immediately in a flashy car that they'd like to sell us and give us a ride back to the dealer, if not encourage one of us to drive this replacement vehicle to try to sell it.

Instead, we sat in the hot sun for about half an hour while some poor souls back at Al Serra thought it would be a brilliant idea to just bring us some gas so we could drive this same car back. I was trying to convince my fiance that we should still consider buying the car, even with the hassle, up until I realized how long we sat there.

Truly disappointing.

I think they should inspect all vehicles before they sell them no matter how cheap they are. Act like it's crazy we ask them to put air in some tires, I mean really. Other then that we always get good cars here at a somewhat good price.
