Alma offers two distinct dining experiences: The Cafe serves an all-day, a la carte menu. The Restaurant features 3-course fixed price menu - dinner only.

Story

Alma has been welcoming guests with authentic hospitality and diverse, contemporary American cooking for nearly two decades. We offer a casual, comfortable environment worthy of both celebrations and everyday visits, 7 days a week.

Alma now offers two distinct dining experiences: The Cafe and Restaurant. The Cafe is an all-day, a la carte, walk-in setting with bakery counter, bar and table service. The restaurant features 3-course fixed price menu for dinner only.

We also offer seven guestrooms for overnight stay. Our comfortable, well appointed domestic spaces will be appreciated by travelers looking for a vibrant urban location as well as locals looking for an convenient getaway.

Opened in 1999 by Chef / Restaurateur Alex Roberts in a historic firehouse & adjacent speedboat factory, the spaces were reimagined and designed by James Dayton Design and Talin Spring in 2016.

Our approach towards the operation of Alma is truly collaborative, and we believe that every single member of our team is integral to our success. We are committed to creating a learning environment where all staff can thrive.

The scale for Alma should go up to 11! My husband and I had a great dinner at Alma's to celebrate our 24-1/2 years wedding anniversary. We ordered the 3 course tasting menu. We followed our server's advice and got a flight of wine to match our orders instead of a bottle of wine. It was amazing! We both had the gently cooked trout entree with a very tasty red wine--so tasty. The warm lentils and cauliflower was savory and firm and so delicious. I had a taste of my husband's layered rice and curried octopus. Our son had the beef entree and lived it. The orange sponge dessert was light and just sweet enough. The decaf coffee was a good way to end the meal. I much prefer soda water to tap, and was very pleased it my glass was never empty. Great service! Great food! There's a parking lot next to the building, but you can't park in it. The offer valet parking for $8. 4-hour Metered parking is 2 blocks away on Main Street.

Was here last night with my wife for dinner and we had a fantastic time. We sat in the café and ordered bread and the cheese plate for an appetizer both were fantastic. We had several cocktails and each one was very different from the last, some were better than others but all were pretty tasty. Tom was our server and he did a fantastic job. We both had seafood for dinner and the food was incredible. We ate and drank extensively but our overall bill wasn't too bad at the end. Cannot wait to go again.

Wow, blown away at every course. The three course menus made it easy to decide and was the perfect meal. Not one of our party of for had a bad bite. They are perennial "best of" mentions for good reason!!

I like 112 Eatery and have been there a handful of times. To me, it's a classic for good food, service and a cozy environment. While it's still a solid choice for fine dining, it's been drown out by the surge of high end restaurants in the area. Definitely try the newer places, but don't forget about these guys too.

Don't even think of sitting at the bar if you're over 5'8" as the legroom makes most stadium cheap seats seem spacious. I ordered one of each type of punch and was disappointed with each. I'm not sure if it was the recipe that was bad, or the bartender. If you're going to charge $11-12 per cocktail (not including tip), please make sure that cocktail is on par with the other cocktail bars in town. I was excited to try this place out since I've read so much about it, but I won't be back.
