Down the block from the Westin, we walked for lunch. You can make a quick reservation from this app. I had the luncheon 6 oz sirloin which was great! The French onion soup was the best I ever had. The meat loaf is phenomenal. We tried the pastrami and did not like it but our waitress was great and didn’t mind we sent it back. We will be back! Thank you for your excellent service!

My wife and I took a weekend trip and called and made a reservation for 7:30. We were staying at the Hyatt and decided to walk. We arrived at 7:20 announced ourselves to the Maitre D. He thanked us saying he would call us if we wanted to wait in the bar. The drinks we excellent 7:30 came and passed I again reminded them we had a reservation he said he would have a table shortly. It was 8:20 when we seated. The staff seemed exhausted, we ordered Silver butter knife steaks medium rare. The steaks were good but not exceptional. Both potatoes were cold. I can say I have been there done that. I will never go back.

This restaurant survives on its reputation and history. The service is subpar and the food is average. We ordered the silver butter knife steak and were sorely disappointed. It smelled like a cheap McDonald's hamburger and didn't taste much better. That being said, because the total cost of the meal was high, even at 18 percent, the tip was around 56 dollars. But for such poor service, I strongly resent feeling obligated to leave a tip. This left me with a rather bad feeling after dining at this restaurant. There are so many amazing places to eat in the Twin Cities. Spend your money elsewhere.

The service and atmosphere were top-notch. So were the mashed potatoes and soup. The Silver Butterknife steak was good, not the best I've ever had. The menu goes beyond, and I would try a different entree next time around.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent My wife and I had dinner here before going to see A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie on Dec 1. The service was fantastic. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server, Nate, was very knowledgeable and guided us to some superb choices. Have to have the hickory smoked shrimp as an app!! My wife ordered the filet and I ordered the ribeye. Both steaks were cooked perfectly. This was our first visit to Murray's but won't be our last. Highly recommend for any occasion.
