Had a great experience here. Mel helped us when we came in. He was very genuine and friendly and was not pushy at all. We told him we were going to shop around. He wasn’t put off at all. We went to every other furniture store you could think of in Tacoma and came back to Ashley furniture and Mel. He got us a great deal and the delivery was on time and professional as well. Would certainly come back. Also the quality of furniture was great along with a balance toward value. We got exactly what we were looking for.

I made a purchase close to $2000 on Feb 21st . My sales person was Amber. I was there with my husband as we were picking a rug. The 8x10 Rug was hung at the time, I wasn't 10 ft tall to see what's on the other end and she never told me it was damaged. She said it was on sale. If you look at your cameras this will prove my word. She said rug will be delivered with the rest of the furniture. After 10 days furniture came, no rug. When called they said We are suppose to pick it up. If that was the case we could've brought it on the same day we made the purchase. And almost 2 weeks no one called for a reminder. On Monday evening My husband picked up the rug which was rolled outside in(which was weird) and given no chance to look at it. Two corners of the rug looks like it's been used before. There's lot of wear and tear. When I called in they says it's final sale, and they mentioned the damage to me at the time of purchase. which they didn't. Why would i pay $200 for a damaged rug? Already filed a complaint to the BBB and will continue to fight this until they admit and solve this for us. Such a great customer service for $2000 worth purchase. Since 2009 from bedroom to living room everything I own is from Ashley Furniture. Never once returned or exchanged anything. But this is my first time with Tacoma store and what a sad experience dealing with liars for $199? Geez!

Great experience! Our sales lady was kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. All staff encountered were professionals with smiles, and the Manager was a delight. Christina was our contact person and always professional, and sweet with all the answers. I most definitely will continue to shop Ashley Furniture for quality furniture, fun accessories and a pleasurable experience! Wayne Simonson of Tacoma

Some of the people are great! But others ignored us and I think it's because we are so young. They had good deals. I recommend the older lady with a good sense of style she is very very helpful.

Shopping at the Ashley store is like buying a used car. You find an item online, for example, on the Ashley website, and when you go to purchase it in the store, it's a completely different price. This was the case for a set of end tables I found online. Not only was the price higher at the store, they would not allow for free shipping the way the online store did. So I actually found myself sitting in the store, just next to the tables I was trying to purchase, as I ordered them online from my cell phone. Additionally, the rug I wanted was not available in the store for purchase, so I had to go online, again, while IN the store, to order the rug. The remaining items I was actually able to purchase from the store, I was told I would need to pay shipping. I pulled up the website, since I had been on it my entire experience with trying to make an in-store purchase, which indicated free shipping. The salesman had to clear this override with his manager. Many minutes later he returned and apologized for not being able to override the shipping. His answer was "well, you could always just pick them up at the store". I couldn't believe it. After being at the store for almost two hours, I finally said "I'm not interested" and I cancelled my entire order with them. So... They lost a $2000 sale because of their lack of consistency, delays, and the inconvenience they cost me over a $60 deliver charge. The following day, I received a phone call from the sales manager, indicating that there was a misunderstanding with the salesman, and that he indeed could waive the delivery fee. I returned to the store to discuss, and I ended up there another hour as they rewrote the entire order. While I am happy to have this behind me, I will never shop at Ashley again. And this means the website as well. If they can't provide consistent prices and a consistent experience, I may as well buy used furniture and barter for it, just as I would a used car.
