It took over five minutes to be acknowledged at the makeup counter. The three associates within arms reach were not with customer, but seemed not interested to ask if I needed anything. When I went to Nordstrom, I was acknowledged within five seconds. What a difference. I came back later looking for a very specific appliance that I saw online. After finding the box sitting next to the register, the cashier couldn’t tell me if It was on hold or available. He also did not point me where I can find more of the same, even though I already spent 15 minutes looking for this product. Last, I was buying a kitchen gadget and a different cashier wanted my ID and social security number to update the info in her system. I don’t feel comfortable giving out my social, when she already has my proof of identification in hand. Seemed too much. All and all the shopping experience was a bust. I’ve been to many different Macy’s stores, but for some reason at this location employees seemed disengaged and not willing to assist. Won’t be coming back.

They were super kind and helpful. The store was clean and a plethora of items from perfume, make up, purses, wallets, panties, shoes, clothes for men/women/teens/babies, bathroom linens, bed linens, kitchen wares, holiday items and jewelry.

Tried to return boots I ordered online through the store for $16 with tax and $14 without, there was no shipping fee, and reorder the right size. The associate told me that I could not get an even exchange for the SAME item in a different size and that I would be paying $19.99 for the same boots in a different size plus $10 shipping. BTW, the receipt was not expired. What the heck??? I asked him why I would have to pay $19.99 when I wanted to just exchange the size which means I shouldn't have to pay extra for the shoes. I was fine with the shipping fee. He said, "the price of the boots changed so I can't honor the original price" Again, what the heck??? That completely goes against the Macy's return and exchange policy (checked after all of this) I asked if I could use my $10 Macy's money on the new order which would have countered the shipping fee and he said "I don't know" and didn't bother to check, try, or ask anyone. In retail, that means, "Yes you can but I'm going to try to trick you into another deal." He then asked if I had a Macy's card and I said no. He said if I applied, he would wave the $10 shipping, HONOR MY ORIGINAL PRICE and give me a COUPON ON TOP OF THAT even if I wasn't approved. What the heckkkkk??? So you couldn't honor my original price ($14) before, but now all of a sudden you can and then give me a coupon to make it even cheaper? I applied because I didn't think it through and i wanted the shoes really badly without wasting money. He really made it sound like that was the only option that I had other than wasting my money on $29.99 for the new boots and shipping fee WHEN I PAID $16 and change for the darn boots IN THE FIRST PLACEEEEEEE WITH NO SHIPPING FEE!!!! I applied and was rejected to no surprise as I've only had a credit card for 2 months now and he honored his promise with free shipping and blah blah blah. Sure, I should be happy as I got a better deal than I did before as I paid $12 and change for the new boots with free shipping but as I walked away, something didn't feel right so I went to another associate and showed them my receipt of the new order and asked if I could have used my Macy's money...She said yes btw...Now I'm pissed because now I know I've been swindled and my infant credit report/score is going to pay the price. I'll take some responsibility as i got greedy but what he did was evil. I called customer service and told them what happened and asked what I could do as the damage was done to my credit (I really don't care how little the impact is because I ended up hurting my credit for nothing because i realized he lied to me about everything just to get me to apply for the card). I also had a 25% coupon in my email so I would have been completely fine without the damn card if i had remembered it and HE HAD NOT LIED! I mean, think about it. So with 25% off of 19.99 (because he wouldn't honor the freaking price) i would have paid 14.99, with tax 16.49 and then used the Macy's card to counter the shipping and WOULDN'T HAVE LOST ANYTHING BUT LOOSE CHANGE. Its still absolutely not okay but because guess what, customer service let me use my $10 Macy's money on the order (idk how they did it but who cares) and apologized for what happened. For the new boots, I ordered 2 different sizes so I could return the one that didn't fit and avoid all of this bs again. So the new order totaled $28 because each new shoe was $12 and change plus $3 and change for tax so after customer service added the Macy's money, I paid $7.74 for each boot. You go customer service! In conclusion, I refuse to ever shop INSIDE the Macy's TACOMA MALL LOCATION EVER AGAIN because that was horse s*** and I can't believe I was straight up lied to by an associate just so he could meet his Macy's card application quota. Everyone deserves to know how great the "customer service" is in the Tacoma Macy's if you can even call it that. I'm absolutely still infuriated even after all of this and I will never look at Macy's the same.

One of the many go to places and the tacoma mall.. good selections.. wait for the sales to shop here. Don't worry sales happen all the time.

I had the best experience in this store. I was assisted by an intimate Apparel fit specialist who loves her job and knows what she is doing. Her name is Patricia Birdwell.. She made sure I got what I wanted.. Thanks so much Patricia.. The store must be so lucky to have you..
