These people are awesome. I'm so happy I took my truck here. They didn't have any good news about the truck, but they explained everything thoroughly and even replaced my headlight bulb for free, I think because they felt bad for me for driving a vehicle composed primarily of rust. I will definitely be taking my future car here after this one falls apart. Also, they have the cutest greeter around.

Best mechanics in Portland! I called today about a problem with the shifter in my old 90’s Mitsubishi truck. I know it’s not their specialty, but I have worked with them in the past, so I thought I’d give it a try. The person I spoke with offered to look at a photo if I texted it to them. Long story short, I ended up being able to fix the problem myself after they offered advice about what could be wrong. Not only do I feel proud of fixing my own car, but I saved a lot of money too. Obviously that isn’t always possible, but I was so impressed by their help and honesty. They also gave a name of a transmission place if I needed it. Highly recommend!!

I never leave reviews but Atomic Auto was so amazing that I had to.  The A/C in our Prius stopped working right before a heat wave here in Portland. I called them just before closing (and the day before two 108° days) and they told me to bring it in early the next morning and they'd take a look at it.
They had an after-hours drop off option, which saved me the hassle of having to deal with morning rush hour traffic.
They called me at 3pm the next day to tell me that the A/C was fixed. It took less than 12 hours from the time I called them to the time it was fixed!
They'd also found a good quality used compressor to help save money so the whole job including labor only cost slightly more than just a new compressor would have.
They mostly communicate via text, which was very refreshing and efficient.
Finally in addition to having after-hours drop off (which many places have), they also have after-hours pickup, where you enter a pin to get your key. This saved me having to deal with traffic again. 

Because of Atomic Auto my wife and I didn't have to suffer through the extreme heat. The service was perfect and I will recommend them to every friend I know with a hybrid.

I am very skeptical when dealing with most mechanics, but NOT ATOMIC AUTO. They really work hard to find the best solution for your car and wallet. The mechanics are genuinely friendly and explain things in layman terms. The shop is clean and orderly and the waiting lounge is comfortable and inviting. It's obvious that they take pride in a job well done and they care about their customers. I like that they have onlinr scheduling and depending on the circumstances, loaner cars. They communicate electronically about the needs assessment and recommended service and give an estimate in writing. They also make the time to clarify anything over the phone. Their prices are fair and the service is great. DO NOT HESITATE TO HAVE YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE.
