I rarely write reviews but felt the need to warn others.  I scheduled a rental three weeks prior to our vacation.  Avis/Budget called to confirm two days prior.  But an hour before our scheduled pickup, I received a call stating they overbooked and had no vehicle for us.  I was told to call customer service.  Customer service was extremely unhelpful and tried sending me to another location over an hour away.  When I called there to make sure they had a vehicle,  the manager told me she didn't even have enough cars to accommodate her own customers and was in the process of calling them to let them know they too would not have a vehicle.  My biggest problem with the situation is that they should have known after making their confirmation calls that they were overbooked.  The right thing to do would have been to let customers know in advance so other accommodations could have been made.  Calling one hour before the scheduled (confirmed) pick up time is unacceptable and unprofessional.  I understand things happen but after reading reviews, this seems like a common business practice of Avis.  I wish I would have checked the reviews first so that I could have taken my business elsewhere.

Avis always exceeds my expectations. From the ease of making online reservations to rental return, my experience is always seamless and amazing. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and super accommodating! The staff at my location treat me like an old friend, it's very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

Rented a car from Avis. They ended up not having any compact cars available. They gave me a Ford Escape and stated "It was my lucky day since they dont have any compact I'd get the suv for the same price. After returning the vehicle and checking my bank account they literally charged me almost triple the price I was told. Ive been trying to call the Avis store to speak to the gentleman that helped me but NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE AT ALL!

I can't even give this place 1 star....I made reservations online and paid in full online and when I got to the Avis store there was not a vehicle for me I had to wait 5 hours for one to come in which is just unacceptable!!!

Very impressed with this Avis Location because of the service provided. The gentleman who helped me had two cars for me to pick from and was genuinely enthusiastic about getting me into a nice rental. I believe most of the negative reviews of this location stem from corporate problems rather than local ones.
