Manny is the best and always gives great service.   This is the best AVIS rental location anywhere and even though it is small, you cannot beat the service.

NOTE: Review is for LAX Avis location, not Ventura.

Disclaimer, I am an Avis Preferred Plus customer so my experience may be different than typical. Avis is great. Little more expensive than the cheapest rental, but you usually get better car selection. As a preferred plus, I pretty much get to pick my car through the app or the preferred service center.

This location, which I've been to 20+ times this year alone, offers everything you can expect from an Avis airport location. As LAX is such a large airport, the rental location is a couple of miles or so away.

The bus ride to rental have several times taken a while, up to 30-40 minutes, to pick us up. It's a little better now due to rental buses no longer being allowed at the departure level (2nd level) which means more efficient use of buses as they pick up and drop off. Bus ride to and from airport is always quick (under 10 mins) once you're on regardless of traffic.

Experience is partially based on the customer service personnel you get as a few are less likely to meet your exact preference.
