AVOID this Dollar rental location! SCAM ALERT! Complete bait & switch, nickle and dime, made up extras. Full review coming soon. If I could give negative stars, I would. Because of this experience just picking up the car, I will NEVER rent from Dollar Rent  A Car again. I am advising all 500 plus of my Face Book contacts and my 5000 Twitter contacts whom I will request to copy/paste my soon to be posted grievance that I will further share with any and all social networking sites, business and business owners I interact with, and membership clubs I belong to, including my theater, art, and writer's venues. A full blog review and a letter to the editor of the Ventura Star Free Press are in the works. The Better  Business Bureau, all consumer affairs and review sites and  every manager and big wig up to the parent company of Dollar will be notified of the practices that happen(?)/happened at this Oxnard Airport Dollar Rent A Car location and the unnecessary time wasting ordeal it was merely picking up a car from a reservation made a month in advance. Ridiculous!

I rented a car from Dollar last November in NYC.  Big mistake .... Got a bill from dollar rental fine for $2.44 plus a $15 admin fee while they had actually charged my amex card already for the toll.
Plus one other toll and a $ 15 admin fee.
Will not use Dollar rent a car anymore  also the experience with picking up the car at JFK at 11 pm was bad .  Because of a employee  shortage he people who were working kept everyone waiting for 40 minutes in a cold freezing room in the parking lot . They said they had one person getting the cars ready and that's all they could do.

This is really as good as it gets. I've been traveling around the US for many years and after a year and a half overseas, i'd gotten used to sub-par service. That all changed here. After receiving wondertastic phone service from the owner of this locally owned branch in the Oxnard Airport, I was on my way to pick up a clean and new (seriously, like 2000 miles) Nisan Versa. The car was great, the on going service I received was fantastic, and I ended up taking the car for a few extra days. Some people are blessed with great customer service skills, and the people behind the counter here really did their best to make sure I had what I wanted, and at the BEST PRICE I have ever seen. Will surely recommend !!!
