I would give zero stars if I could. MY BIGGEST CONCERN is that I can reserve a car for noon and they will just close, because they close at noon. First, I want to make it clear that no one was rude, just not willing to do the right thing. I don't have a car and rent one when I have to make a longer trip. I booked a car online to go see my family over the weekend. I paid for the rental price online with my debit card. No problems so far. My reservation was for noon on Saturday the 12th. When I arrived I apologized for being early and offered to pay extra if needed. The lady behind the counter said not to worry about that, and that I was "LUCKY" I showed up early, because they close at noon. She went on to say how she wished they would fix that problem. I insinuated, more as an inquiry, that I would have been stranded had I not been there early? I received a smile, an "I don't know" look, and a shrug. Oh well, I was there early. She ran my card (the same one I paid for the rental online with) and heard her say "uh-oh." Apparently, since I had a temporary debit card it wouldn't go through. I don't carry cards. I don't like debt. I don't want credit cards. Now that that is clear, I asked what I could do. The only option was a different card. They wouldn't take cash, they wouldn't take my sister's credit card number over the phone. (I know this is policy at lots of other businesses and expected this, but if I can type a number on a website and that be okay then I don't see the difference.) I offered to go down the street and put money on a pre-paid card that I have, and I was notified AGAIN that they close at noon. It was 11:48 a.m. Not even a courteous offer to wait on me. I guess their closing at noon is way more important than my family. That is what I took from my experience with Avis today. 15 - 20 minutes would have been all I needed. Sure my eccentricities of not having a car or a credit card played into this a bit, but there were customer service solutions that were avoided out of convenience for the staff. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE: They tried to keep a payment that should have been refunded to me. I waited the standard "2 business days" for a refund. I actually waited 4 days before I called. Turns out that you have to call their 1-800 number for them to issue a refund.....hmmmm???? Anyone could easily over look something like this, because generally speaking, you don't run into too many companies that obviously try to steal from their customers. SHADY SHADY SHADY SHADY........I KNOW THIS IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR SOME PEOPLE, but if you have the means I would recommend going elsewhere.

I needed emergency assistance with 105 temp and sepsis...while traveling and when I called the Addison office, Mark took care of all the details in a competent and professional way. Been with Avis 11 years and it's leaders like Mark that keep me coming back. Thankful for him and his team.

Black girl there was very rude. Constantly on her cell phone and gave the customers a hard time. I seen a white guy go off on her for trying to add extra fees on his rental and would not cooperate.

This recent rental was my second in 7 weeks from this same location(Addison,TX). The staff were great and filled my need with a good car. It is a less busy store and I do not know why because it has been the best rental experience I have had.
