Fantastic place right on the Santa Monica state beach. The place has a cool vibe and the location is just amazing, the staff is welcoming and friendly. We ordered black bean veggie burger with crispy fries on the side and a vegetarian California omelette with salad as side. The portions are good for two people to share. Burger was good, fries were great. California omelette was one of the best omelets I have ever had. The salad dressing sauces they provided on the side were fabulous. Also, the jam and butter they gave along side bread were extremely rich in taste. Upon our request, they gave us sour dough bread. Having quality food with the view of Santa Monica state beach and sound of waves made it a great experience, would definitely come back.

I went here on a weekday for breakfast. I had the eggs and potatoes with a scone. I had them add ham to my scrambled eggs. Everything was perfect! And the scone was warm and sweet ... didn't even need butter or jam. The coffee was a local roaster and was divine. I sat at a table outside and enjoyed the view of the beach. Some of the tables are on the sand and it was fun to watch children playing in the sand while dining with their parents.

I haven't been here in 10+ years but coming back today was so wonderful. I live in Texas and this was the first restaurant I wanted to visit on returning to Santa Monica. Fred Deni the owner is just so kind and a delight to talk to. The food was excellent!  The grass fed burger medium rare was oh so yummy and the BananaNutella French Toast was out of this world!  The French Toast was nice and thick and spongy to soak up the syrup. The outside of the French toast was just the right amount of crispy. My mouth is watering as I type this reminding me of how amazing the French Toast was. Our waiter was awesome. He's been working at the restaurant 5+yrs and was just the right amount of attentive and then gave us our space to enjoy the beach and the view and the people watching.  We'll be back again soon! There's just not many places you can go to sit literally in the sand on the beach. The food was incredibly delicious. The staff was well trained, fun, relaxed, and kind. They carry my favorite wine by the glass. No reservations...show up and wait. Their texting notifications system for when your table is ready is outstanding. Go early right when they open, put your name in, take a short walk on the beach and then enjoy your meal under shade umbrellas that tilt for the sun.

What a place! It’s right on the beach with plenty of outdoor seating. We went there on Monday - public holiday while driving back to San Jose from Los angels. The staff is friendly and took as in 2 mins after getting there. They have really good menu. We ordered black bean and portobello mushroom veggie burger with crispy fries, veggie omelet with side of sourdough and salad. We loved the omelet which came with butter, really good quality jam and salad dressing. Overall everything was on point and the location is just amazing. You can take a stroll on the beach right after the food or just enjoy your view while you have your amazing food. Must visit if you are visiting Santa Monica.

We had a beautiful lunch here a few days ago.  Parking was easy, sat outside under an umbrella and enjoyed the beach view.  The Back to the Beach Burger was delicious. Can't wait to come back next time we're driving through!

Super nice place if you want to have your feet in the sand while enjoying your food. Outdoor and indoor w AC seating available. I have back on the beach breakfast sandwich. Was delicious. There’s small parking lot or you can walk here from Lot 8 Santa Monica pier parking lot ~ 20min.

A great place to eat right on the Santa Monica Beach. The menu ranges from breakfast to lunch to dinner. We happened to visit during Super Bowl weekend, but got in early 30-45 minute wait at 1:00PM.  Food was great, and they offer a kids menu and have a bar onsite. It’s very kid friendly as there is an adjacent playground to the restaurant.  Onsite parking was an obstacle, as they share a common beach public parking lot. So trying to find a space is like a needle in a hay stack. Saw people getting out of cars holding spaces. Tip: We drove to the next public parking, found a spot within 5 minutes, and just walked over to the restaurant.  No real waiting area outside. Did see a lot of people picking up to go riders and taking it right on the beach, great access if you’ll be there for a while and you get hungry.  Don’t leave the waiting area, as they call names fast, and before you even get the text notification.  Service was fast. We sat inside it was this day, but they offer tables in the sand on the beach.  Menu attached.

Great family experience!  The beach is just outside the door, or directly underfoot if you are seated outside. The views and opportunities to play are fantastic. Quality food and table service! It's best to get a reservation given how popular it is.Food: 4/5

Great location for a lazy Sunday lounging, Brekky or Brunching. Be warned, there’s a minimum of HOUR wait on a great sunny day to get an outdoor table! Almost everything on the Brekky menu has cheese, for cheese fans! Those with pets also be warned, you need to sit your pets on your lap during your entire dining session.
