Hey guys, today is Sunday. This was my first time visiting.  I've passed this location several times and never stopped. Sorry for the long review. 

 I wanted something a little different today. It's located near the corner of Ga. Ave and Missouri Ave/ Military Rd NW on the southwest side of the intersection. The place was nice and clean, not large but a nice size for people wanting to sit and eat a quick bite. The young lady who helped me was very nice and friendly. The BBQ aroma filled the place which was a nice, pleasant surprise. The menu was confusing and could use a little refining. It took us a good 20 min to figure how to accomplish what I wanted to order. I wanted a Rib Dinner, which they don't have on the menu. They do have a Combo Rib and Smoked Chicken dinner on the menu, which has pulled chicken instead of chicken wings. And they do have Ribs by the pound, but sides are separate. They were out of several items. There was no sign or posting to indicate a change. Instead of Bacon Mashed Potatoes, they replaced with Garlic Mashed. The menu indicates Baby Back Ribs. They don't carry Baby Back. Website picture shows Diced Garlic Red Potatoes. (I showed the picture be to them) They don't carry them either. I asked about the Roasted Corn, they discontinued that item too.

So, we had to create meals to get what I wanted. When I got home, the Ribs were very tastie. A little tough and too much fat. Baked Beans were ok, collard greens were good, yams were very good, Mac and Cheese and Garlic Mashed Potatoes were pretty good. The pulled Chicken was very dry and/or over cooked. The side portions could be more. Some of the prices on the website were different than actual prices. Overall value I paid was a little high but not bad.

 I questioned things on the menu. They said a new menu is coming out on Tuesday. I made some observations and recommendations for the management to consider. I came on Sunday afternoon. I will visit again to give them a another chance during the week. Thanks for reading.

My neighborhood BBQ spot!  The seating area is small.  The restaurant is very clean and the service is friendly.  The brisket sandwich and mac and cheese are excellent.  My wife said the brisket rivals Hill Country.  Don't believe it?  Come check it out yourself.
