Berkheimer has been sending me delinquent / wage garnishment notices for taxes Ive paid long ago. For local taxes that have been paid in previous years. This isn't a one time issue either. It's such a pain dealing with them and getting it straightened out, proving the fact. I dont understand how you can cash a check, then send a delinquent notice out via certified mail demanding payment or wage garnishment.
This is by far a company with some of the most indignant customer service one would ever have to deal with. They send out bills for minor children that cannot and should not pay taxes and claim that the local municipality just hires them to send out taxes. They do not verify to whom they are sending these items. I received a tax bill for my minor son that has autism. This is the second time a child of mine has been sent a bill. The claim was that their system does not have dates of birth and as such, they just send out bills. I spoke with JASMINE who became very indignant when I indicated how upset I over this issue. Berkheimer should collect LEGAL taxes and not ILLEGAL taxes and confirm they are sending out NECESSARY taxes. I can assure anyone that might see this review, if we the people started a class action lawsuit against taxes on minor children, they would no doubt change how they conduct their business.
