I spent a day trying to make an appointment for a GPS installation at Best Buy in Grand Junction, CO. I was able to leave a message once but after no call back I called again several times throughout the day. On three occasions I was transferred to long holds that eventually ended with a disconnected line. I thought that I would spend a few hours looking for new TVs when my vehicle is in the Best Buy shop. But after so many unsuccessful attempts to do business with Best Buy I realized that Best Buy neither needs nor wants any new business. It also reminded me why I stopped going to Best Buy some time ago. It was exactly the same poor service that drove me away from Best Buy in Grand Junction. 

It was a nice thought of shopping at my local Best Buy but I was quickly cured from such silly nostalgia by the store itself.

I went to Best Buy to purchase a blender. I typically make these types of purchases on Amazon. When I went to check out, the gal offered me 10% off my purchase price if I was approved for a Best Buy card. I agreed and applied, and was approved for $1000. I had recently been considering an upgrade for my TV, so I told her I would look to see what they had. At that time I confirmed with her the 10% off my purchase. I went to TV's and Jim was very helpful in finding me a set for my budget that was HDR and 4k. I looked my options up on Amazon and the set was $50 cheaper with free 2-day shipping, but the deal was better at Best Buy with 10% off. HOWEVER, when I got to the register I found out that the deal was 10% in rewards on a future purchase and not a discount for the purchase today. I bagged both purchases and may order them on Amazon with my Prime Rewards card instead. If the terms were made clear from the beginning, Best Buy wouldn't have lost the sale.

Worst service I've ever had anywhere! Just went in to buy a $4k TV. Stood there for 30 minutes before anyone even asked me if I needed help. When someone finally tried to help me, he didn't know his @ss from his elbow. He answered every question with uh uh uh. Then he disappeared on my to find out about having the TV installed. Waited 20 more minutes for him to return and he never did. Wasted over an hour of my time on my lunch break and still don't have the TV I wanted. I'll just order it from Crutchfield...They actually know what customer service is!!!

Great salesman in the appliances today. Even though they didn't have what I was looking for, he went out of his way to do an internet search to find what I wanted and ordered it for me. Made for a very pleasant experience. Then the man in the television section was very happy to help us with trying to find a wireless speaker system for our television. Very nice and helpful people.

I made two very large purchases that came with  promotional Gift Cards. Before the purchases, an In-store associates assured me that I could make payments on my Best Buy CC with the Best Buy gift cards, online or by phone only, just not in the store. DO NOT believe this!!! I was outraged to find out, after spending 4 grand, that this was NOT an option. The gift cards can only be used for purchases.  Best Buy is obviously training their employees to lie to customers to make sales, and of course, create future sales for themselves.
