Best Western Plus Boston Hotel in Boston is an all-suite hotel, previously known as the Roundhouse Suites. It is conveniently located next to the Boston Medical Centre and close to other Hospitals and only 2.1 miles from downtown Boston. The hotel is close to some of the best colleges in the country: Harvard University, MIT, Boston College, Suffolk, Boston University etc. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle from 7:00am to 10:00pm running on a schedule to the two local T-Stop and to the Medical Centers nearby. Staff is exceptional. Very welcoming and helpful. Remembers who you are. What is outside does not affect the inside of the hotel. I was very happy with that. Location is not the best because it is in a busy area. Close to hospital, can easily access express way or make it to various destinations. Hotel has a good history with regard to the building and shape. Organized, serene, very clean. I would recommend this hotel.  I would stay here again.

Just Exceptional...!

It is so very well maintained place. Decor is excellent, all amenities were in great shape. Staff was professional and friendly. With location so close to downtown, I cannot imagine one can get complimentary breakfast and parking along with "high-star" treatment at such a reasonable price (ok, parking facility is not all that great, but then it is free and is close to downtown....)

Highly recommended to everyone !!

I didn't feel safe enough to stay the night here. We were booked for three nights, and the location an amount of homeless people surrounding the building made us leave early. The front desk staff was not welcoming and while speaking with one, a man who appeared to be homeless, came up and said "I know you get a lot of horrible things happen here but I promise I won't do anything bad, I just really need to use the restroom. Our room was on the third floor, and our key did not work so we had to go back down the stairs then get assigned a new room. We went up and here arguing going on outside. There were people, again appearing to be homeless, fist fighting right outside our window for an hour. There is no real safe feeling parking lot, you literally park at a gas station. We booked through Expedia, so we ended up eating our money that we paid for this hotel and booking a new one because we were so uncomfortable. I would never recommend this hotel for any reason. Even seemed overpriced for what we had.

NOT RECOMMENDED for single female travellers.

Good points: friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds, plenty of free stuff, early breakfast with quite a good range of options (mostly packaged though, and did not change for a week...). Free shuttle going towards city centre (Back Bay station). 

Bad points: 

1) the RETURN shuttle is completely unreliable (despite giving tips and making sure the driver should show up even if you don't "book it" at a certain time, I had to call the hotel after waiting for 30 minutes at the specified location TWICE, and I wasn't late. I finally gave up and took the bus for the rest of the week, which is way more frequent and also cheaper if you consider that you don't have to tip the bus driver lol); 

2) the area is deprived to say the least. See attached picture (view from my window). Full of homeless and/or junkies, dirty, feel really dangerous especially at night (once inside the hotel you are safe though). Sirens and trucks at all times. Not worth the savings compared to a more expensive place in a safer and nicer neighbourhood. Again, NOT RECOMMENDED for single female travellers.

The hotel itself was very nice. My TV did not work...not a huge deal. Printer did not work at check out for my bill. The people surrounding the hotel were awful. Homeless, drug addicts ,I felt very unsafe walking into the hotel alone. Then was asked to go back out to hang a tag on my car for parking. Police, fire and ambulance we're there to pick up a person who overdosed in the parking lot. Woman running around for a few hours yelling and screaming trying to crawl under customers cars. I think security should be present at all times to make your customers feel safe. Hotel was lovely unfortunately the surroundings were not
