If your looking for a place to eat this is the place. They got DeShawn on the grill and he is pumping out some great food. 5 STARS HERE THIS MORNING. So come on down for some great food. CHECK OUT THE PICS.......Food: 5/5
This Bob Evans is friendly and clean. The food is usually good. This area, like many others, has a staffing shortage, and this restaurant is no exception. With this in mind, allow extra time for your waiter and for food to arrive. Please be patient and kind to your waitstaff who may be doubling to serve in other areas of the restaurant. With that said, our food almost always arrives hot and well prepared and with a smile. This is why we keep going back. Evening is our favorite time to visit. I love Brinner breakfast for dinner, and the Banana Nut Farmers Breakfast is my usual choice. The generous sized pancakes have pecans and fresh slices of fresh banana cooked in them. A light sprinkling of confectionery sugar, dollop of whipped cream, and buttery caramel drizzle completes them. The eggs, ham, and potatoes make this a filling meal. With such large portions, I usually end up taking two pancakes home for breakfast the following morning. It's good to note that they can customize this meal. I am not a heavy sweets person, so I usually skip the confectionery sugar and whipped cream and request the caramel on the side. When we take our grandchildren with us, they are incredibly accommodating to them and their eating nuances. They have even made helpful suggestions that appeased our picky eaters.
I purchased the premium farmhouse feast for our Thanksgiving dinner this year. Pros: Everything was packed nicely in a sturdy box for transport. Portions were generous and there was a variety of classic dishes. Instructions were included and easy to follow for reheating the food. The turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and mac and cheese were delicious. Cons: The dinner was a bit on the pricey side, but I expected that for the convenience of not having to cook. Some of the food we received was not good. The rolls were hard and stale we did warm them in the oven, but after one bite on everyone's plate, they were thrown away. The same with the whole apple pie. It was not very sweet, had somewhat of a sour taste I don't mean tart like the apples, I mean sour and it was very gummy and doughy. Also, the pumpkin bread tasted yeasty and gummy. We threw both the pie and the pumpkin bread away. The corn was dry and had no butter, but that was an easy fix. The green beans were also not good. All you could taste was onion and they were very overcooked. They also were thrown away. The quantity of food was great, the quality was lacking. We spent $192 dollars on this dinner. This price included the premium feast, a family side of glazed carrots, we subbed out the pumpkin pie for the peanut butter pie, and a tip for the staff. I really expected better for the money. While most of the meal was good, I really hated that some of it wasn't and had to be thrown away. I probably will not choose this as an option for our holiday family dinner in the future.
The restaurant was not crowded, yet it took twenty minutes for the waitress to take our order. She was very polite but did very little in the way of follow-up; refilling drinks, asking if we needed condiments, etc. The cheddar potato soup was watery and didn't come with the normal toppings. I was a bit disappointed with this visit overall.
Table needed cleaned! It was left wet and food left on edge of table. Menus got wet and were nasty. Biscuits and toast were hard/almost burnt. Last time we were there ask for a container to bring some leftovers home, and the waitress bought a wet dirty container. We try to rotate Bob Evans in the area, this one is the worst of them all. This was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast with my son and daughter-in-law.
My wife and I visited last week. She had the Thanksgiving sandwich platter and I had the honey butter chicken. Her food was very good with the cranberries being fresh. Mine on the other hand! The chicken had a burned flavor and was dry. When I moved to the corn the first spoonful uncovered a plastic bread tie. After 10min I got up and found the waitress, after telling her and setting back down the head cook came out and offered to re-make my meal or something else.
This is the third time this week I've eaten at a Bob Evans, and this is the 2nd store. Everytime the food has been great. The servers 3 different ones for 3 visits have all been great, nice, and knowledgeable about the menu. If I'm out and going to get something to eat and there is a Bob Evans in the area, I'll choose them anytime.
My husband and I went to Bob Evans December 26th and ordered the turkey and dressing meal. The server was incompetent. Cranberry relish was supposed to accompany the meal. I asked for it and the server wanted to know if I wanted it now. No. I want it next week. I then happened to flip my turkey layer open and lo and behold there was a hair in my turkey. I was infuriated!! The lackey said the manager was on her/his way and I never saw the manager. I told them I was not paying for my hairy meal. They were not apologetic at all. I handled it with class. I did not show my true anger. They asked how was the meal and I told them. You'd have thought they'd have charged nothing considering how things went, but no. They charged my husband for his meal. There's no telling how many hairs he consumed because he didn't look at his turkey the way I happened to look. My goodness they lacked professionalism and common courtesy!! Bob Evans, your staff and manager needs improvement.
Order was accurate and food was hot. Received cold coffee and asked for fresh. Eventually fresh was brought.Food: 4/5
Lunch time at this Bob Evans is most often busy. We got seated and greeted by the waitress in good time.As always it was clean and very comfortable.I chose the Turkey dinner, overall it was good but not like Grandma's holiday dinner, the turkey was the best ,cooked just right, the potatoes were bland, the stuffing was dry and tasteless, the gravy was salty. My lunch partner chose was a Chicken salad. It looked perfect and very appealing, but the chicken lacked a good amount of flavor, but overall was good. We will be back soon and as no one person/ place can be perfect every time.
