Great place, excellent food, friendly staff This restaurant is located off Harper road in Beckley off the north side of the I-64 Harper road intersection. It is on the north side of Harper road behind the Country Inn and suites. As with most Cracker Barrell Restaurants, there is parking on at least 3 sides of this location with RV parking as you first enter to the east of the site. The front has rocking chairs along the porch. There is a gift shop as you first walk in. You check-in at the counter. We were seated quickly and they were not very busy. We had a seat by the window. The waitress was very pleasant and took our drink order within a minute of our being seated. She was very attentive and responsive throughout the meal. We were there for breakfast and I got the pancakes with bacon and extra syrup and a tea. My partner got an egg breakfast and we tried the Biscuit Beignets. The food came out quickly. The meals were very good but I was not a fan of the biscuit Beignets. Prices seemed a little higher than the Cracker barrel that I am used to. The price for a meal and drinks for the 2 of us was $27 before the tip. You pay at the counter in the gift shop with whatever other things you may have picked up in the shop. The person who checked us out was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant eating experience that I would recommend for my hungry fellow travelers.
I am a very hard food critic because I cook as well but this place I must say I would have gave Seven Stars Hospitality was wonderful beyond wonderful food absolutely scrumptious this is a place that I would take my family my friends beautiful place beautiful peopleDine in: YesTakeout: Yes
The breakfast beinets sp were so good! I tried to buy some of the butter pecan syrup they are served with but it isn't sold in their store. Excellent breakfast with a side order of bacon or sausage if you aren't hungry for those large platters.
My food was good, I got the stuffed cheesecake Pancakes with eggs and bacon, my husband's was cold, he got the pot roast dinner, our kids were happy with their food. The service was decent, Some things were forgotten but she went back for them when asked and was polite. All in all not bad and we left full and content.Food: 4/5
Such a great & affordable meal ! I tend to forget how great the food is ... especially for the price. Staff is always so so polite and I love the gift shop too!! Such great gift items and at a price much lower than you'd expect!! I Xmas shop there ! People never believe me when I tell them where I bought the gift : family of 4 eats for $50-$60 total?! How ?! Lol
My mashed Potatoes were cold, my greens were cold, barely any gravy on my fried chicken or mashed potatoes. Never saw our waitress again so never got a refill on drinks. This is the 2nd time we've had cold food served to us. Will not be going back.
It's a very popular restaurant. We came at 1:30 P.M. and there was a wait, but everyone was getting seated quickly from what we observed. We enjoyed shopping in the store while waiting for our order. They were very accommodating about making any menu items to go, so we were able to social distance and enjoy exactly what we wanted. The food was delicious.
Super disappointed in this old standby. The wait was long, 20 minutes, which is not a complaint that I'd normal make but ultimately we were seated at a table that was empty the entire time we waited. The wait for service after seating was also longer than usual. Sorry on staff, I suppose, but no explanation provided. Then we find the menu to be greatly reduced and my favorite dish, the catfish platter, is gone. So I order the fried chicken, only to be told that "hardly anyone orders that anymore and it may not be available". Well it wasn't so I would up ordering my third choice. The sides were small, the corn bread overcooked and service continued to be slow. Not likely to go to Cracker Barrel again.
In spite of the restaurant being busy and short staffed, our waitress, Allison, always had a smile on her face. She consistently made eye contact and responded quickly when something was needed. We were traveling and Cracker Barrel was a nice rest stop along our way. The food was good and the coffee was hot!
We were traveling & stopped for mid-day lunch. Not a long wait for a table for a Sunday but the food coming from the kitchen was slow. We ordered the beef pot roast Sunday special & one side of mashed potatoes. Since it was the special of the day, we assumed it would be served quick, but it took what felt like 25 minutes. Its served in a pot with a plate liner. It was easier to eat by removing the contents to the plate. Our silverware wrap only had a spoon & knife. Was that how pot roast was to be eaten? Had to ask for a fork. The flavor of the beef was bland, the mashed potatoes looked like they sat waiting to be served for what seemed like 25 minutes. The cornbread was awful. The biscuits were good though. No butter served, had to ask for that. We understand a restaurants need to tidy the floor after customers leave, but I wish they knew how annoying it is for the seated customers to hear the banging of the broom against the dust pan. Especially those sitting right beside the cleanup. Our server did a fair job. It just wasn't as good as the many other Cracker Barrels we have dined at.
