Expected somewhat of a frozen product but was hopeful given the name. I think what Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen actually stands for is Cheddar's 86'd the kitchen... Blackened salmon was fine, not great not bad. Fries were obviously frozen which was a huge disappointment considering I only wanted to come here for what appeared to be fresh fries. They tasted old and were barely room temp, ate about three... The rice you see is all the rice I received; a hole was carved out for the salmon. The plate was delivered to the table as is, grease circles on the empty space included... I got a salad as a side before my dinner arrived, so not sure what left the grease circles. Salsa on the Key West chicken looked pale and sad, including canned pineapple... Not a good choice in a fresh salsa... Mashed potatoes and rice had no flavor. Calories per plate are out of control, including for the salads. Won't be back.
We went in for lunch this past weekend. The service was very slow in the beginning but the food was absolutely amazing! I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. If you are looking for real good country cooking this is most definitely the place to go. Definitely will return.
Food here really has great potential. Stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the battered buffalo shrimp. Being from Eastern Shore of MD these remind me of fried buffalo oysters we do locally, imagine the surprise when you bite into a fully breaded shrimp and the tail IS LEFT ON.. AHHHHH. Absolutely and totally ruined it for me. Such a great, simple dish and boom.. ruined. Please remove tails and clean shrimp before batter and frying..PLEASE PLEASE. I did ask the waiter who immediately asked, You didn't eat the tail did you? That's how they come! Seriously?! Like chef rule #1.. if it's not edible you don't plate it.. let alone bread it and fry it, hidden from the customer. Arghhh!!! Seriously the menu looks amazing, the honey glazed crusant was delicious, all the food I saw looked wonderfully prepared. Will definitely try this place again if I am in town.
Fordt time here, didn't know what to expect. I had 2 side salads placed in one bowl for my sides and grilled chicken/3 blackened keywest shrimp with salsa over a bed of rice. It was juicy and absolutely delicious. The salad with the vinengarette dressing was fresh and delicious!!!!! I tasted the potato soup and it was amazing. The chicken strip are breaded there, we're not greasy and they enjoyed that meal. The environment was great having clean space, table and decor was the best with large fan area and fish tank. There's outdoor seating with music and surrounded in a floral garden with a fountain. Our server was extraordinary. Great midway stop on way home from a preoperative appointment several hours away from home and relatively extremely affordable for the quality of fresh foods! Kid-friendliness: Great place for noisy kids because the music and space between patrons blends in the environment so having fun for the kids wouldn't affect people who are grumpy wanting peace and quiet Parking: Ample parking in front for disability Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for wheelchair from entrance to table and restroom
Adult beverages & food were awesome. Service was fantastic almost too fast. Chicken alfredo w/broccoli & white fish was excellent. Would definently go again. Prices weren't bad for the excellent service, drinks & food. Nice atmosphere.
Everything was excellent!!! Will come again when in the area. I am from Ohio and was looking for a good restaurant that served fried fish. I came to a great restaurant and the fish was just delicious. The service was also excellent. Thank you Sarah
Waitress was wonderful! She did a great job attending our needs. I asked for my $10 burger to be cooked medium instead of medium well stated on the menu. The waitress said that would NOT be a problem. The food took over 30 minutes to come out which was fine as the dinner crowd was arriving. My burger was WELL done. It was so dry I needed 3 glasses of tea to swallow it down. Besides my burger , everything was great !
My husband and I stopped in here on vacation for lunch. The outside landscaping was beautiful and so inviting. We had a nice waiter and was sat under a skylight in the celling that had the coolest looking ceiling fan that I have every seen. I got a fried chicken tender salad that was yummy and huge! My husband got a burger and fries also were huge. The croissants they have are also really good. Wish we had a Cheddar's near me
Our server here was absolutely fantastic! We had a very quick seating time, even with him being extremely busy. The food came out quick, hot, and tasted fresh. The bathrooms were nice and clean and the place seemed very well kept.
Good food, quick service, pleasant atmosphere
