You walk up a few steps into the deep porch and the front door opens-- there is Bill (or maybe Heather?) greeting you with a large smile and a welcome hand. You have arrived. A short tour of the hospitality rooms, the menu for tomorrow's breakfast (salivating upon reading is ok-- just wait until you taste it-- great flavors!) and a welcome sign with your name on it sits on the table next to the home made cookies (yes, try one)and complimentary sherry. Then to your private room. The decor is warm and artistic. The hand painted grass cloth ceilings are amazing. The bathroom is spotless and stocked with incidentals including bubble bath. Soaking tub is heaven after your hike through this gorgeous country side. Bill and Heather are the perfect hosts. They will take as much or as little time with you that you desire. Warm, smart and prone to pampering the guests, Bill and Heather Make a wonderful home away from home. Book your stay. Enjoy!

We stayed there for two nights, and the hosts were delightful. The house is beautiful, warm, and inviting. There is a library full of books about hikes in the local area, maps, and other tidbits of the culture and history of the area. The rooms were great, with large bathrooms, and beautiful mountain views. Our hosts Bill & Heather went above and beyond with their multi-course breakfast meals and general friendliness. We really enjoyed chatting with them about the history of the local area and we got an understanding of the town much more than we otherwise would have.

Although I was in Joseph during the off-season, it was a tremendously enjoyable experience, particularly my 3-night stay at the Bronze Antler B&B and getting to know its fabulous hosts, Bill and Heather. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and all guests sat long and leisurely around the dining room table, chatting and learning some of the local history from innkeepers Bill and Heather who cooked and served flawlessly. If you’re looking for a beautiful home full of history, set in a valley surrounded by peaks, comfortable beds and attention-to-detail innkeepers, then the Bronze Antler B&B in Joseph, OR, fits the bill perfectly.

Cute building and beautiful landscaping / grounds. Our hostess, Heather, was extremely helpful with giving us advice about where to go and how to get there. She offered to let us borrow her and her husband's snow shoes for walking around the top of Mount Howard (which we took a tram to reach). She gave us lots of maps and plenty of directions to get around. She went out of her way to accommodate our dietary restrictions (my partner is vegan and I'm pescatarian but with a dairy intolerance). She also had a selection of wine bottles available for purchase (we bought her last bottle of botrytis semillon), as well as complimentary sherry. Everything about our stay was excellent!
