I will never rent from Budget Car Rental again. Today I watched my grieving younger cousin plead with a Budget Car Rental representative to extend her car rental for two days. She rented the car to visit her father (my uncle), and on her visit, he passed away in a breathtakingly tragic accident. The day I arrived for the funeral, I was appalled to see my cousin struggling to get Budget not to gouge her for a rental extension. The only way they would agree to extend the rental would be if she paid over twice the daily rate she originally rented the car for. Perhaps what's worse, the Budget representative was incredibly rude and uncompassionate to my cousin after she explained that her father had just died. My cousin is a college student; she has no money to afford a rental car at a rate of over $100 a day. I am truly shocked by the way Budget handled this situation. Budget may be a corporation, but its customers are human beings.

This place has zero customer service.  When I called to change the time of my reservation, they "didn't have access to the system for that."  They wouldn't pick me up or drop me off because "it was a holiday."  They closed early on the day I was supposed to drop it off and even though someone was there and I returned it on time, they charged me $54 extra for one day on top of a $45 pet cleaning fee for very little pet hair which I was never told about and was not on the contract I signed.  For a total of $139.00 extra dollars on top of the $91 I had prepaid.  Don't rent from this company.  You will not get customer service and will end up paying way more than you had expected.
