This was our second time going to Campfire Lodgings, the first was for vacation and the second was as evacuees from Hurricane Irma. Can't speak highly enough about how nice and helpful the staff was to ensure that we had a spot to park our RV in spite of the fact that we were not sure when we would be able to return home. They went well out of their way to make sure we were as comfortable as we could be. It is a great little campground, with a glorious view, private bathhouse accommodations, and a great pet walk trail for our dogs. Jason and Andy made us feel right at home! The location is perfect for going into Asheville and the surrounding areas. I am forever grateful for their hospitality!

This place is one of a kind. Probably one of the best campgrounds in the country. It's not a resort type campground. But if you love nature, amazing views, peace, and a great caretaker then I would recommend. We enjoyed our view from our trailer and enjoyed hiking. I almost didn't want to leave a review to let others know about this place for delicious selfish reasons. There aren't many sites so you want to book early.

Overpriced!! I have been to campsites just as nice that were half the price. Also if you want to be 'babysat' this is the place for you. The groundskeeper will not leave you alone! He was breathing down our necks the entire time. I asked for a double tent site but we were only allowed 1 car per site which is absolutely ridiculous. Our site was a small hike from where we could park. When paying so much I expect to be able to camp close to my car simply for easier access. Also I kept smelling a terrible smell around our site. While reading the reviews on here I discovered that they have raw sewage running down the hill close to the tent site that we stayed at. They have SO MANY restrictions at this place. The reason I've giving two stars instead of one is because the bathrooms were clean and the view was pretty. However there are plenty of other places in that area with views just as nice.

Small, beautiful campground. Clean sites. Good privacy. The view looks great on the internet but in person it's even better! Bathroom facilities are not spectacular but it doesn't matter. Book far in advance if you can to get the campsites with the best view. Careful driving up, the big rigs have their hands full going up the entry drive. It's manageable if you go slow! And worth it!!!

Great view at the overlook. Very nice tent sites. Wish the tent site was more secluded but that's the only reason it's not 5 stars
