Our bed was comfy... not all b&b's have that. Beautiful house. Nice deck area. But a few things would have made it better. 1. No soap in our room. Had to ask. 2. Our bedspread had a big spot of something on it???? Looked wet or something... didn't touch that. 3. No ice.... ice machine broken. But we have an ice bucket. Bottled water in the room would be nice. 4. Breakfast was good but a small microwave to heat pastry would have been better. 5. This was the big one.... there was an envelope on the mantle for a tip...but no one came to our room. Our bed wasn't made...no mint in the pillow..so it's still there. No service...no tip. Even cheap hotels make your bed. I think I read it's under new management. They need to step it up a bit. Places we've been to in the past have a plate of yummies as an evening treat. They didn't even leave out the fruit bowl. The girl that was here was very sweet. Told me about the light festival. It is walking distance to many places. I highly recommend Coast seafood bar & Grill.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! To start off, no staff was there when we arrived at 4 pm Friday afternoon. The front door was locked but luckily another guest let us in. We were supposed to stay in the suite, but they moved my party of four to two small rooms with the bathroom outside the room. The room we were in was no joke, the size of a closet and the bed was tiny! It squeaked with even the slightest move. There were cockroaches in our bathroom. The breakfast hardly passes for a meal. Breakfast hours are from 8-10. We went down for breakfast at 8:50 am and there were only 3 yogurts, a few pieces of questionable fruit and a couple croissants. Our party of four too the yogurts and the two croissants. I was disappointed there was not more offered. When I asked the staff member of I could have a muffin, she said she was only allowed to set out a certain number of each thing every morning. A woman who came down after is for breakfast didn't have the option of yogurt or pastries. When she asked for a yogurt or anything to eat, the staff member said they were all out. THEY LIE!!! We were very disappointed with our stay and will never stay here again. Customer service is awful! It was definitely a bait and switch deal.

After a number outstanding visits, last years visit was terrible! Clueless staff, food and serving dishes left out overnight, no H20 for morning coffee, entrance door unlit and door not secured in PM...Time to find a new b&b!!

A very disappointing experience. Let me compare my former B & B experiences in other cities: 1) Other cities - owned by individual(s) - Cannonboro owned by corporation who operates several. 2) Others - beautifully decorated homes. Cannonboro had poorly decorated & maintained home (pink rose-colored dust-ruffle with orange bedspread; bathroom so small we had to sit on the toilet sideways; ice maker broken our whole stay (just to mention a few things) 3) Others - gourmet sit-down breakfasts. Cannonboro - same continental breakfast (bowl of whole apples & oranges, yogurt with granola and pastries from a bakery which were late 2 days and they always ran out) that you ate on the patio, which was fine, if the weather was nice. 4) Others: friendly, knowledgeable owners who were full of information and ideas. Cannonboro - manged by a 20 - something girl who knows little about Charleston tourism (though the assistant, Samantha, was nice and helpful).

Stayed in room 2. Very noisy. Busy street across from a hospital. Extremely small bathroom. You literally had to put your feet in the shower to use the toilet. Never met the innkeeper. Person on duty knew nothing and could care less. The place needs updating. Wallpaper is falling off the walls. My wife would not use the shower as it was small and grungy. We have stayed at B&B's in old houses before. None were as neglected as this one.
