We stayed here this past weekend for our 5th wedding anniversary getaway from Chesapeake, Va. The hotel was in the heart of downtown Charleston in a historic building. It has a lot of charm to it. The staff was excellent from the time we arrived till we left. It was pretty populated while we visited. We did get to venture out to other local spots. Our room was perfect with an added bonus of a fireplace (we really enjoyed every night). The only thing that was more of a hassle, but worth the scenic walks, was the fact they do not have on site parking. Granted they do offer valet parking for $20/day or what we chose was to park in the parking garage two blocks away paid by the hour. We had family close by and had plans to meet up and found it easier. We had a great stay and love Charleston!

This place is amazing! Updating rooms this yr.  New rooms look amazing.  Hopefully they keep some old rooms. Why no coupons to high cotton.  Its in our building.  Only generic coupons u can get anywhere.

Great location in the heart of Charleston. Old world charm with modern amenities. We've stayed here every year since 2007 and have never regretted anything. Great and friendly staff always willing to help.

We have been blue green owners for 11 years and have been at this resort in the past with a good experience. This stay had some issues. The check in and check out process was awful. We were pressured into valet parking. When we said that we didn't want to do the hour long "update" the lady seemed to get mad and didn't want anything else to do with us. We noticed that all the other guest were getting area info and coupons. We got nothing! No info on valet parking either, just that we said yes and we had to figure everything out on our own. We got no info on check out process either. There was nothing in the room like most resorts that we have stayed at before. We had to wait about 20 minutes for them to get our car at checkout because they could not find it and we were the only ones checking out at that time. When the man finally arrived with our car, he was rude and had an attitude for no reason to my husband. He was working Jan 17th during the morning hours. The location is great, but our room lacked decorations. Very plan walls and furniture needed updating or at least add some! I will say that the parking attendant that was there the first and second day of our stay was fabulous. Blue green, you need to do better at your customer service!!!

The location is absolutely stunning! Every room is different and unique because it was an old factory therefore the features are so asymetric of the building! The customer service is phenomenal as well. I strongly recommend this location for anyone visiting downtown Charleston, SC because of the supreme location!
