A wonderfully kept old home that's become an Inn. The accommodations were excellent, gracious and comfortable The concierge Margo made our visit special with her great personality and the information she gave us about the history of the house and places to eat. They served us a most excellent breakfast in our room. I will stay there whenever I go to Charleston.

A quick stay over Thanksgiving, the Rutledge House Inn has been a wonderful experience. The staff are exceptional and friendly and the amenities for being a B&B are plentiful, from delicious breakfast to afternoon tea. We stayed in the Carriage House building. The room is well sized and equipped. The beds, which are memory foam, are comfortable. There were plenty of outlets to plug in devices to charge. The fridge stocked with bottles of water was a nice touch as well.

When I stayed here a few years ago, the great service we received was very impressive, me so I thought I should finally give them a Google review. We had actually booked a room in the old stable house but because they had a cancellation they upgraded us for free to the John Rutledge room. That was spectacular. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room were very clean and comfortable and the house was within walking distance of everything in downtown. Today I am a Charleston Tour Guide. I love taking my customers by the John Rutledge house and talking about the history now too. If you wish to be close to the downtown historical area and stay in a beautiful bed and breakfast I highly recommend this one.
