About

At the French Quarter Inn, old world charm meets Charleston’s authentic
Southern hospitality with extensive daily amenities in a comfortably
upscale setting.

Story

The AAA Four Diamond Inn’s newly redesigned rooms are inspired by the old world elegance of a Parisian chateau set against the architectural backdrop of Charleston’s classic French Quarter. Red medallion-patterned draperies and damask chenille upholstery in hues of black, white and gold create a rich distinction between the fabrics and furniture, of the highest quality.

Among many other amenities, guests of the hotel enjoy complimentary items such as: champagne and lady fingers at check-in, an evening wine and cheese reception, freshly baked cookies and milk, evening turn down service and gourmet continental breakfast in the lobby or served to your room. The oversized guest rooms, some with working fireplaces, private balconies, and whirlpool tubs, provide imagery of an era gone by, but still grants contemporary amenities a sophisticated traveler has come to expect.

Enjoy some of Charleston's finest cuisine at Tristan which graces French Quarter Inn's lobby atrium on the ground floor. Chef Nate Whiting prepares unexpected cuisine with traditional ingredients at this chic and stylish AAA Four Diamond restaurant.

Our stay here was unforgettable! Jessica, a hotel representative who works on site, delivered the highest level of customer service that we have been longing for from previous accommodations. From check in to check out she made sure that everything was exactly to specifications. It was surprising the level of detail Jessica had. Request were catered to promptly and thoroughly. She and her team are supported by a highly competent valet, maintenance and serving staff. They all have friendly smiles and are always looking to lend some insight on their local favorites. They offer their guests a nightly assortment of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic to go along with a high-end appetizer buffet. We will be letting our friends and family know where to stay when they plan their next visit to Charleston. I know we will most certainly be back very soon. Thank you all!

Utterly exquisite! Jessica was amazing; the cookies in the evening were delicious; and the pillow menu along with the very comfy bed helped me get more rest than any other first night. Will definitely return.

Stayed 6 nights for Spring Break last week, me and two kids in the King Jr Suite. I don't typically write reviews, but this hotel impressed. Comfy beds, pillow menu options, and large bathroom. Excellent central location, we walked everywhere (good exercise). Booked the Transportation package which included airport pickup and dropoff. Charleston Style Limo drivers were very friendly and punctual. Rode in a black Mercedes both ways for my party of three. The hotel has lots of shops and restaurants close by, so no shortage of options to choose from. Was surprised to see so many hat stores in downtown Charleston! We walked to Charleston Visitor Center to catch the tour bus for Magnolia Plantation and walked to Ft. Sumter ferry location. Less than a mile from the hotel for both destinations. All the hotel employees provided outstanding customer service, from the front desk to housekeeping staff. Breakfast delivered to the room was a great convenience, food was high-quality and delivery was very punctual based on my selected time slot. Cheddar biscuits were the best. In the late afternoon, they had a wine and cheese reception with salami, prosciutto, dried fruit, crackers, bread slices, jelly, nuts. The wine lady was so sweet to get sparkling grape juice for the kids so they could partake. In the late evening, they had milk and fresh baked cookies plus one other dessert item that changes every night. Key lime pie was my favorite. Didn't care for the banana bread muffins. Kids enjoyed the complimentary candy dispenser with M&M's, Skittles, etc. Coffee, tea, lemonade, and water available all day. They provide complimentary bottled water in the rooms also. If I had to be picky, it would be to request a better, darker roast coffee option. Of course, doesn't take away from the lovely time we had in Charleston. Would definitely stay at the French Quarter Inn again. Expensive, but worth it once you factor in all the amenities and high service level.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to spend our wedding night. Everything was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be coming back.

The location of this Inn is superb! RIGHT in the MIDDLE of everything! Easy walking distance to the water, near by restaurants. The market that is open year long is right around the corner. All in all, a very central location.
