Just 1 of several parks around Canyon Lake. Operated by the US Corps of Engineers, so be ready to pay camping, fishing, boating fees. If you have the  "Golden Eagle" or "America the Beautiful" park passes, these parks qualify for 50% discount on some fees. There was no way to review the camping area without actually paying the camping fees -- no touring allowed. The summer crowds at this park start building up on Thursdays thru Sundays & average 1500 to 1600 folks each day. Enjoy America!

Have been coming here for years, and will never return. We arrived to find trash all over the campsites and picnic tables, there was busted glass in the water and on the banks. The restrooms had baby diapers and toilet paper covering the floor.  When one of our group tried to rent a second campsite, he was refused because he was alone in his vehicle. We were told repeatedly about the burn ban and the quiet time when we arrived, the group next to us built a fire, and had a generator with lights running. At 11:00 the ranger came and had them put there fire out, but wouldn't make them turn off the generator and kill the electric lights.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl. Love this place. My grandparents and mother made it a tradition to come out here as a family. Once a year we get together to enjoy the outdoors and the water. I hope that when our children get older they can come an enjoy this place with their own children.

Horrible customer service at the front. And they are absolutely unfriendly towards dogs. They are rude and we will never return.

Great place to spend time with the Family and soak up the Sun !!! Grills need some repairs,but all in all a Great place to relax .
