The water is beautiful but the bathrooms are nasty and dirty. And the older woman at the park entrance is a mean, bitter unfriendly person. This was my first time bringing my family to this park, and her response to me asking her how she was doing (being polite while I paid), was to bark at me and say today was the last day the park was open. Upon leaving the park, I wasn't sure which exit to take since one appeared to be closed and the other had these tall claws coming out the ground to tear up tires when people try to reverse. I was in a car so I was really concerned about taking that particular exit. I asked my teenage son to get down to ask, real quickly, which exit we should take. She sarcastically told him that it was obviously the one not closed. I could not believe the nerve of that woman! How unhappy do you have to be in life to be that mean to someone politely asking you a question? There are other options for getting to lake. I will never return to this park. It's not worth the disrespect and filthy bathrooms. And when I did go over the tall claws at the exit, it scrapped the under carriage of my car. I guess there is a reason why they have 2 exits. She was just too lazy to open it.

Great day use park. Busy in the summer months, but plenty of space. There is a covered playground, horse shoe pits (bring your own horseshoes), an old volley ball pit, a roped off Beach area, two boat ramps, several restrooms, beautiful views, picnic tables, life jacket loaner board, and lots of woods to go for a hike. Single car entrance fee or you can buy the annual day use pass and never pay the rest of the year.

Nice clean park. Gets very full, very early. We ate here when it opens to get a decent spot.

Came on July 4th. The park was nearly full, but we got parking on the beach side. We set up near the water and it's a bit of a walk down hill. So when it's time to leave it's a bit of a work out carrying all the stuff back up. The restrooms were HORRIBLE! There were no trash cans in the restroom so there was tampons, diapers and toilet paper every where on the floor. There was also no toilet paper. They also had port a pottys, that I didn't check out. Other than that we had a great time in the water. Oh and I would really recommend beach shoes! There are so many rocks at the beach area.

I really liked this park definitely family friendly the only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the restrooms were absolutely disgusting the park management really needs to keep up with the cleaning.
