Overall stay was indeed amazing. Valet, front desk, housekeeping, and poolside bar service were all excellent. Only constructive feedback is to have more staff at poolside service. Grace was amazing at our service but to have a single person waiting on 10-30 guests at a time is a bit much to ask for one person and it increases wait times. Saturday night there were 2 on staff but 20-30+ people to serve late afternoon / early evening (5-8pm was our time at the pool just for reference). Would definitely stay again!!!

Our company had a business conference at Cape Rey Carlsbad. The facilities were very good and the support team accommodating. We quickly transitioned from a large room to smaller rooms for break out sessions. When we decided to set up a group outside the hotel team quickly set up a table with umbrellas. The grounds are beautiful with views of the ocean. The catering its ok. There is an on site restaurant. For hotel guests, the rooms are nice and there are decent amenities. My only real complaint is that the resort is fairly isolated. There aren't many other restaurants in the area.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a family vacation and wedding party. The people were nice however when we checked out I forgot a dress I had purchased in the closet. When I arrived home I called the morning after. According to the hotel no one logged in the dress and they basically told me I could File an insurance claim and they could do an investigation. I told them what exactly would you find in this investigation. The housekeeping staff can easily hide this dress in trash and deny ever seeing it. This dress still had tags on it and while I remained patient waiting for the director of housekeeping and rooms to get back to me I have experienced rudeness from Jordan a supposed manager and no help in getting my dress back or even reimbursing my money for the 200+ dress. We spent close to 10,000.00 at this resort between my family's rooms. We stayed in a suite and a joining room. I am beyond disappointed with the customer service when something as important to me as a memorable dress can't be returned (it was a dress for my maternity photos). You would think the amount of money you spend a night they would employ more honorable, honest people or at least make it right and give me the amount for my dress. Edited to add I have called everyday and no one has returned my calls either. The ridiculousness of the management at this facility is evident in the lack of concern for the guests who spend money there.

Spent 4 days there the first week of June. The staff was excellent. The valley guys were very helpful, transported us to the beach and introduced us to their beach Butler who had chairs, towels, and umbrellas set up for us. The room was excellent, the pool staff was very attentive, we will be back!!!!

We arrived long after check in time and our room wasn't ready however they went out of their way to make it up to us with comp appetizers and drinks. They eventually upgraded our room. Hotel is clean. Pool is great.
