This hotel was excellent! Our room was just the perfect size. Hyatt has thought of everything to make guests' stay as stress free as possible. The WiFi was excellent and the kitchen had everything we needed. The staff was outstanding from the front desk to the cleaning crew. Everyone was accommodating, helpful and kind. The hotel's location is perfect. 5 minutes to the beach by car, 5 minutes to area supermarkets. The commute to San Diego was a breeze (about 30 minutes). Thank you Hyatt House Carlsbad team for helping us make our So Cal vacation one to remember!

The room was smaller than expected based on the description of the room. But the room itself was great. Breakfast was a good assortment of options from the classic scrambled eggs and ham to waffles. The coffee wasn't my favorite but if you're not particular, its alright. Overall, great experience.

The hotel decor is nice, the room we got with the king bed and pull out couch was a bit deceiving in the pictures online. Once you pull the couch out there is no room to walk from one side of the bed to another, the beds touch at the feet. When we talked to the staff upon first entering our room, we were told that we would be moved rooms a couple of days into our trip due to availability at no charge, when we checked a few days in they were down to move us for a $40 a night charge, when we asked why the front desk on our checkin would have set us up with an expectation that we would be moved, the reply was we don't know and it doesn't matter, I am telling you no.. also breakfast isn't as impressive as the website makes it look, rarely were all items full, half the time we skipped items due to the length of time it was taking for things to come out.. including plates and cups.. the omelet station was a 40 min wait everyday with a lady working it that didn't seem to like her job and made it apparent, she grumbled the entire time about how they need to get rid of the omelet station because it just doesn't make sense they aren't that nice of a hotel. The staff wasn't helpful when we had an issue in the room in the middle of the night, the garbage disposal wasn't working and we were told so sorry mantince wouldn't be in until 11 and that's all that could be done.. to top it off when we were checking out on Saturday the entire hotel was out of paper for printers couldn't assist in getting boarding passes printed... I mean seriously how does a hotel run out of paper.. needless to say, this is not going to be a hotel that we stay at again.

Nice. You can tell it's an older hotel but well kept up. The breakfast which was free was awesome they had hot food even omelettes were made upon request.

This is definitely not your typical Hyatt experience.. feels more along the lines of Best Western type hotel. I've had issues here [ie poor internet connection, thin floors leading to noise.. etc] but the staff always tried hard to fix the problem. They just don't have a Hyatt quality level property to work with.
