This place was so fun! Being a cat fanatic, as well as, a person who seeks local eats; I was left satisfied. The decor mostly cats is cute and I felt cozy eating inside because the place is not too big but just right. I ordered the veggie burrito and was able to finish all of it. If you love cats and food, this is a must stop for a quiet brunch in Bozeman.
Kitty pancakes for 3 & 5 year old girls was so fun! Delicious double-sized huckleberry-mimosas for mom and dad, and delectable salmon egg scramble and veggie burrito. No wonder the wait line is always out the door at the Cateye Cafe! A true local-Bozeman experience.
I missed breakfast at my hotel, but that allowed me to discover this quaint place. The food was phenomenal and worth the trek. Wholesome ingredients and love in all the food.
Wow! The breakfast here is amazing. I got the vegan option for their breakfast plate for a birthday brunch and man oh man. So delicious. I was able to get half an avocado too. The food filled me up so much I wasn’t hungry until dinner. It’s a decent sized meal for the plate you get! I would totally recommend anyone go here. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere is quaint and cute. I didn’t even get to take a picture of my meal because I ate so fast!!!
I got the special. Chicken fried chicken with chorizo gravy, two eggs, taters, and corn bread. Coming from the south, I was a little skeptical about the corn bread, but I was really really good. Especially with a little honey on it. The chicken fried chicken was surprisingly light, really juicy and very good. Topped with the chorizo gravy made it even better. We have been here in the area for almost a year now and just found this place yesterday. Definitely recommend you give them a try. Nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly too.
Lovely place with excellent food, service and fair prices. Strongly reccomendedFood: 4/5
This a a cool little restaurant in downtown Bozeman. We wandered inside and were immediately seated. The interior is really awesome with rough brick walls cat themed artwork and cool little statues. Plus a T-Rex which is awesome. The waitress saw about us very quickly and our breakfast was out to us in a flash. Highly recommend eating here.
We occupied our table 53 minutes total time from the time we sat down and were told to leave. My guest had never been to the Cat Eye and needed 5 minutes or so to study the menu. Hostess came up 10 minutes after we finished our food and tells us we need to leave as she has a long wait list. I still had half a mimosa to drink and was told to chug it or get a to go cup, which I was not interested in. Then she asks if we will be back... will you promise? I can "promise" that this local will never be back after such rude service.
This place has gone downhill over the course of only a couple of years. While I understand inflation and the associated rising costs, an 18 dollar Reuben should come piled with delicious tasting pastrami. What it is in reality is a bland tasting couple of slices. The waitress was nice enough, but not really all that sociable or friendly. An added reason for the low review is that I entered the restaurant when it was pretty much dead. It took about 20 minutes from the time I ordered to start biting into my bare-bones Reuben.
Cateye Cafe is a family favorite in my household. This is the one place everyone can agree on and likes. The banana bread French toast is spectacular and there are always great specials running!
