Unfortunately my experience at Central was disappointing. I've heard great things about this place so I made sure to visit during restaurant week. I ordered the goat cheese salad which was actually tasty and a good size. I didn't even finish it. I've heard the fried chicken is amazing...but it is not. It's over breaded. The outside is crispy but the breading is so thick that inside the breading isn't even cooked. The service was so slow. In particular, the complimentary bread arrived at the same time our appetizers came out. I wasn't offered a 2nd glass of wine when my glass sat empty. After our dishes were cleared it took 30 minutes for us to receive our sorbet. Plus, we hardly saw our waiter.

Delicious food. Everything from the Caesar salad, onion soup and burgers are amazing. Definitely recommend. Great spot for a date or just hang out with friends.

Delicious food and amazing desserts.  Service is also wonderful.  The fried chicken is definitely worth trying and the celebration cake includes a giant sparkler, quite a celebration

So inconsistent! 
When it's on, Central can still be great. And the happy hour is terrific.
But several recent visits have produced lackluster food and service that was VERY below par -- poorly trained, rushed, indifferent. 
Still love the "faux gras," and many of the sides, but the fried chicken, which is hugely popular, was about the level of a frozen patty the last time I was here -- mealy and limp.

Central Michel Richard is a tightly-packed French-American restaurant, perfect for a high-class date night or celebration. 

My fiance and I had a wonderful Cote de Boeuf for Two, which is a 32 ounce Angus beef roast, locally sourced, with two sides and both their Bordelaise and Peppercorn sauces, and it was nothing short of astounding. 

The wine selection is to be envied, but that's to be expected at a high-end restaurant like this.

I would highly recommend it but save this place for special occasions, you certainly pay for what you get.
