Five stars! Has to be in the top five barbecue / BBQ places I've ever eaten at. Texas style as well as pulled pork, sausage, etc. I loved the market place, pay by the pound model, also with servers for drinks. Went with three small kids and service was great. Perfectly balanced smoke.

This place is absolutely delicious. Every meat is smoked to perfection, you absolutely cannot go wrong. The decor here is very fitting for the kind of place it is too, and the waiter we had was extremely friendly. One word of caution, however, each meat is only made one way, and if that means pink throughout then that's what you get. This is fine for most but some people may be put off.

Fun rustic restaurant. Food was tasty with a good selection of sides. I really liked the bourbon flavored sweet potato mash. The brisket was soft and fell apart, great taste. Only downside was it was noisy, but not overwhelmingly so. It is adjacent to the wooly mammoth theatre making dinner very convenient for our trip there.

This is a great spot for barbecue. You're given a meal card, and you go up to each station and order à la carte all the meat and/or sides you want. The cook/server will check off what you order and you pay at the end. I recommend the corn bread and Mac and Cheese as sides. They have meal deals too, which makes things easier when you don't know what you want.

Solid Texas barbecue fare is served cafeteria-style, and the moist brisket and the sausage are the things to order. A small number of beers are on tap, and the bar also serves margaritas and other cocktails. The downstairs of the restaurant contains a stage, where blues and roots musicians play, typically for no cover. You can often find some rather good, nationally touring bands here, where the music goes until 11 on weeknights. It's a shame the restaurant isn't open later, but that's how things go in this part of D.C. Thankfully, there are other late night dining establishments nearby.
