It's not that great since I really think that it's more for kids 5 & under. It's also pretty crowded on a busy day and not a big museum. Parking is definitely expensive around here and admission is not cheap. I really don't see why adults have a $14 admission fee since all they do is watch over the children and they don't get to play with any of the exhibits. However, there are plenty of educational facts that can be found throughout the museum. Give it a try if you have a young child younger than 5 years old but the museum is just not for me. A waste of money in my opinion but that's probably because the museum was very boring in my opinion. I do not plan on coming back again.

I loved it. All you have to pay is 14 dollars and your kid will have a blast. They have 4 floors. Each floor has different kind of things they can do. My son went crazy he really loved it. It's a nice and big beautiful place with nice colors. Your kid will learn lots of things. There's stations in every corner for hand sanitizer and wipes if you would like to clean the toys. The employees are very nice and friendly. In the lobby they hold your coat and stroller. There's bathrooms like everywhere. If you have kids you should bring them they will have a amazing time.

While it can keep your kids busy for a few hours, I don't like this place so much as it is an over-hyped Gymboree kind of place. Growing up I remember the children's museum of Boston as a scientific place full of magical mysteries and experiences. Maybe I'm using the wrong point of reference, but there is nothing magical about the children's museum of Manhattan. There are a few displays that are somewhat educational, but most things are just toys of different kinds, without much interesting or creative value. They throw birthday parties there come on. I think the museum is great for ages 3-4, but not much beyond that. I would recommend going there in the winter for lack of better options, but a playground or Central Park would make a much better option in the summer.

Kiwi view: this is a combination of indoor play centre and minimalist museum. There museum bit is a token effort. If the kids are getting bored with the MOMA or The Met then balance it out with a visit to this place. It is for younger kids day six and under and that's generally the crowd here. Expect a lot of American kids with 30 second attention spans and limited social skills on patience and sharing and you will be OK. Let kids be kids here and as long as you get it injury and germ free you will be OK. Had some REALLY good play and learning things and the workshops can be good too. The best but is a child size replica of the President's desk in the oval office

I am a nanny and always go to this museum with the kids I watch. Today however, I brought my little cousin with me and one of the kids. I used my bosses museum pass as always and they let me pass. One of the associates whispers to the other and then stopped us and said “Is she with you?” I said “yes”, she goes, “well you need to pay for her”, I said “well shes a child” and she answered well “the pass only covers children of that family”. I payed for her, just because they were really exited to go, but I wasn’t too happy to be honest. I felt that was a bit discriminatory because they have never questioned me before about the children being of the same family or not. But, since my little cousin is darker skinned they just assumed she wasn’t in their family. I feel like if she were light skinned they would of not even questioned if she was part of the family or not. I didn’t find this fair because if they asked me that, then they should ask everyone the same question. I felt really bad because I really enjoyed this museum and told everyone with kids I know about it, but after this experience, I doubt I will be returning. My little cousin felt very bad afterwards because she noticed what had happen. You guys should train your employees to be fair with all visitors of the museum.
