In the midst of traffic congestions and the whirl of fast paced NYC you see this small green park with a nice and pretty old fountain . It has benches to accommodate a good amount of people and has rotating artwork displayed throughout the park(something new that started a few years back). It's close to some street stands if you want to grab a bite to eat and sit down. It's very close to wall street area and the Brooklyn bridge so if you are a tourist well no better place to be right? Beware of the squirrels and if you planning to visit late at night which I don't advise because of the audacious squirrels (yes they will try to get closer for food) and rats (only appears at night). Right next to city hall but not that you could go in so whatever.

Beautiful park and architecture. We visited this place on our way to cross the Brooklyn bridge. There were street performers out the front doing depending, which was nice. Be sure to walk down here if you get time as there are plenty of landmarks along the way. Enjoy.

Love this park but be on the lookout for extremely aggressive squirrels. This comes from moron Midwestern tourists feeding them, directly, by hand. The squirrels now have no fear of interaction with humans. Once I had one jump on my shoulder. I responded with a shot of pepper spray. Beware!

If you don't mind the heavy stench of urine at times! Along with the occasional dirty bloody used needle. It's a rather nice place. Especially during the 9-5 hours during warmer months. Just beware the homeless population at time or I should say the aggressive types wander around is not that fun. When those issues are not at play the park is actually a rather nice place. Just would not recommend younger kids play here not really that type of park and also some issues with above mentioned things.
