Some nice staff, but some not so nice staff. They could benefit from a warmer and more inviting feeling, instead of a cold hospital-like environment. Also, more therapeutic groups throughout the day would be great! All the downtime just gets a little monotonous. Essentially this place is good for emergencies and staying safe, but won’t provide much help in the healing process. Thankfully they make sure you’re set up with tools for after your release.

I had just come from being treated worse then an animal at Clovis Hospital lock down unit. The nurse that admitted me, Jamie was so kind, even gave me a blanket because I was so very cold. The Night watchman even treated me so kindly and was very respectful. I saw Dr. Ting first thing in the morning. He was understanding and caring and listened to me and gave me what I think was a very accurate diagnosis. I was only able to attend one group meeting because I had been discharged. The leader was a great moderator, I also found the other patients to be be insightful and helpful. I never met anyone unkind. The nursing staff that I dealt with were very all very helpful.

Horrible Experience I was picking up a patient and was informed by the very rude security guard that I could not park in front and had to move my vehicle. I then stated well why is there a sign that states loading and unloading/ 10min parking? And he told me no it's for paramedics only. I wouldn't have been bothered if he told me in a professional manner.

Today I write to complain about the Security person on duty Friday 7/21/2017 in the afternoon. I worked for Madera County Behavioral Health and we work with the hospital; everyday, and I have visited this place for the last 13 years with no issues whatsoever until last Friday. I was on the way to serve one of our clts legal papers when the guard intercepted me outside the main entrance and questioning if I had a "card" to go in, I asked if the system had changed and that I was coming for a clt. I properly identified myself and showed him my work ID, explained to guard three times why I was there and he insisted on the details of why I was there, I told him each time that I was there to see our clt and serve him court papers and he was not satisfied insisting that It is not permitted to do that in the facility insisting in more details and I stated that Hippa prevents me to give him additional info. I finally got in with him and he continues with comments regarding my reason for ben there. In the lobby the person behind the desk caught the guards negative attitude once she called the unit and was told to let me in. the guard commented again. "he would not tell me why he is here" and I answered that I am prevented from giving information and the guard answered back with a smile "she, meaning the desk person, told me what it is" while smiling and I answered that that is on her. I was finally let in. this is the only time that I have had issues with anyone in this facility that treats our clts very well. I believe that Security hasd to be properly trained as to not interfere with others official business.
