We got there an hour and a half before they open just in case we had to wait in line, but no need, everything was really fast. Mr Jacob was really nice and let us in a little bit earlier than 9am. He said that the busiest days are Mondays, but we were first in line. The staff was really nice to us. Mr Victor was the person that helped us, and we appreciate everything.

The consulate works exactly like the country, they don’t seem to know what they are doing, it looks disorganized and unprofessional, the staff thinks they are talking with their cousins and the worts part is they have more photos of Chavez than Chavez’s mon herself, and sadly there is not even a Bolivar painting. And the prices they are charging for their “services” are way overpriced, I guess they need money now after they bankrupted the country.

Completely useless embassy. Waited an hour to make an appointment to renew my passport but was told I must do it online. Told them their site has too many broken links. I can't even register to make the appointment and the only response given was.. you just have to try. Asked her if she can help me create the account since I can't read Spanish and she said again you just have to try. What am I trying if their site doesn't work, phone isn't answered and staff does not help.

For those who's requiring visa to travel to Venezuela. Be aware that any signed document needs to be notarized ( ex. proof of employment). Make double copies of everything. Good luck!
