After reading all the negative reviews, I came in prepared to face the worst. BUT I' like to say we had a good experience, soooo much better than our experience in renewing our passports in Manila. Most of the ladies were respectful, pleasant and helpful (there was just 1 who did not seem to be happy to be there), the security in front was also helpful and courteous. We were done in 40 minures and that already includes voter's ID application - the lady in that window --- very nice. Just come prepared with forms filled out and necessary documents copied AND bring cash - $60 per passport for renewal.

We raced from NJ to get there before 12. The people down stairs called our number quickly and could not have been more kind and helpful. We met the consular who was incredibly positive and respectful. There was a few hours to kill so we went across the street to Barnes N Noble. The consular greeted us again as she sat down to eat her lunch. She is all smiles and absolutely delightful. She even offered me some of her lunch! Could not have been a more positive experience. This is why Filipino Americans have such a good reputation.

The worst ever! Make sure to copy all your documents before going here because you will need to spend a few dollars for copying. And make sure to google it first before coming in here because you will never know when they are open, because they have a lot of holidays! So I went here to get get a notarized SPA and I asked them to have it delievered so I payed for additional fee for the delivery. But 2 weeks has gone and I still don't have it. So I went to their office again and pick it up myself. It was just there sitting for more than 2 weeks! What the hell! I showed them my receipt that this is suppose to be delivered. They didn't even apologize and instead of refunding my money for the delivery fee they just gave me an envelop that has a stamp on it. And they have a lot of holidays! Count all the holidays in the Philippines (which is reasonable) and all holidays here! (which I don't know why and how they were affected) Such a lazy and corrupt office! I really hate this place. They are not very helpful!

I wish i could put a negative star on this. I renewed my passport and they couldn't find the envelope because of a different last name. I told them i tried to change my name but they wouldn't let me but I already prepaid the envelope. After that was sorted, they still wouldn't release my renew passport because they said I didn't cancel my old passport. I said I did. They said send us a picture through our mobile phone. I was like you're not serious. Yes we are because you didn't cancel your passport. I said I did! I sent them a picture of my passport with holes on it. Get your act together. You're supposed to be there to make it convenient for Filipinos in the northeast but instead you make it harder for us!

Before I went yesterday to PCG New York, I read reviews and I saw the low ratings of customer service and other services rendered. I carefully observed how will my experience be. The service at the receiving desk was just fine reviewing my passport, and prompting me to get ticket for my customer number. The attendant at window 4 was superb in her service, quick and polite, including the cashier. What disheartened me was the very young lady at the encoding. I requested for my picture to be redone since my eyes were not Ok...she insisted on saying it was already OK and showing me disinterest to grant my request. There were not much people maybe only 5 of us were there, so for just a minute to retake a digital photo is not a problem of holding the line for picture. In short, the young lady did not care at all to retake my shot. She is unfit to be in that post so to say. The first three employees I encountered I'm rating them 5 stars...Encoding lady not even a 0.
