Beautiful museum. Four galleries with an eye to diversity. More text than most museums of this type allow visitors to get an insight into the curation of each exhibit and why they have been displayed. I was particularly moved by "The 613" exhibit - both by its context and the content itself. While most museums have gift shops filled with cheap (but expensive) junk, the CJM's shop has a fantastic collection of books and Judaica from Israel and the Bay Area. A must see for anyone with a Jewish heritage for sure, but no prior knowledge is required to get great value from visiting the galleries.

smallish museum, but they always have wonderful touring exhibitions. half of the outside of the building looks ominous like a secret villains lair (gift shop side), and the other facade looks like museum. inside -it's not the biggest, but I'm sure you will find a gem or two that will make the trip worth it.

Fascinating museum with constantly rotating exhibits as they have no storage. Docent tour was excellent.

A nice building, but for me the most memorable part is the restaurant that serves bagels and pastrami.
